Very fun and polished. I really like the tree animations!
Such a creative idea! Really enjoyed this!
This was a fun and original idea for a game. I liked using the leaf blower and I especially liked the way it kept me up in the air. Also impressed you have a city map and a store/upgrade system. Very impressive for two weeks.
Great game! I like the concept especially you can use the blower to stay mid air
I loved pretty much everything, the art and music fit perfectly together. The mechanics are extremely satisfying, and each level brought something new to the table.
Thank you for playing!
Fun little game! The facial expressions were the best :D
Really creative. I've never seen anything like this before.
What a great clean up game. Loved the mechanics and think you nailed the challenge for the round. It was tough but a lot of fun. Great game!
thanks for playing! I know the game is tough now. I’m hoping to make it more accessible with some new abilities and powerups in the next round.
Chaotic in all the best ways! This was an incredible amount of polish for two weeks, and one of my favorite entries of the round! Great job!!
Thank you for playing! Glad you liked it.
Great concept and foundation of a game! I felt at times that the direction litter gets blown was a little finnicky, but I may have had to get used to it a bit more. I loved the art style and general theming though, very cool game! If you wanted to expand on this, I could easily see some cool new map mechanics you could implement, more powerups, and stuff like that
great! If there’s anything specific you want to suggest, I’m all ears! I’m still brainstorming where I’m going to take it.
and to your note about the blowing, yes there are still tweaks to be made to the entire wind and debris system
I think this is a great prototype. Everything fits together the way you want it to. I think the only thing it's lacking is more levels! I want more!
The graphics and gameplay were on point with this one. Didn't really get what the secondary mechanic was as it wasn't told anywhere but probably could've been the upgrading which I never used. The cable mechanic was a nice addition but it also didn't seem to have much use besides some edge cases.
thank you for the feedback and for playing.
The second mechanic is the truck on its path to the goal; the upgrade “break time” is one example that influences its movement (stops its motion). However, there are many more planned things like tracks that fork and have switches, reverse switches, speed changing etc. I think now that I spent too much time on polishing up the core mechanic and perhaps could have gone with 3 or 4 levels instead of 5, and worked on the truck mechanics more.
im hoping to make it to round 2 so i can further develop these (if the new task allows)
I love the little trash eater character! def 100000 points for creativity and execution so going in my top 5
Really great entry! I had a lot of fun playing this one. Cleaning up the city was kinda meditative. I definetly want to see this one developed further. The power ups were in my opinion not so impactful.
I liked the game a lot! Tho I would rather increase the strength of the blower and make the leaves go wild, instead of having them this "stiff" and hard to give air time.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. I agree that the leaves could use some improvement. I pretty much got them to a point where they were viable, and then moved to build out the demo and other features. But I've always planned to go back and tweak them some. For example, sometimes they feel a bit "stuck" on the floor, it should be easier to give them some lift. I'd also like to get some sort subtle swaying when they're in freefall as leaves do.
When you say hard to give air time, do you mean that they fall too quickly? And does it feel like a strength of gravity issue or a max speed issue to you? (or both)
Thanks again for playing.
Sound like a good plan!
You def explained that better than me. I meant that they felt like they were very "heavy" and stuck to the ground. And once you got them up it was kinda hard to get them where you wanted.
I would personally rather go towards making the leaves "too light" so they would be flying everywhere, making it hard to control them. :D
very well balanced and very fun mechanics! I would play a complete game of this :) Nice work!
Ah yes, this is a banger!
Art style is cool. Audio and visual feedback compliments the game style very well. And just enough a sense of urgency where it gets your heart rate up, but not so much where it’s stressful. Perfect balance of challenging and fun!
Absolutely loved it!
What a fun game. Simple to pick up, plenty of levels, and a pretty art style. An overall great time!
very fun mechanic i really enjoyed the game( almost 5 stars for each levels) and it has good graphisms with a retro , smooth , and cartoony art style ( i'm using my own words don't have design knowledge ) , the only inconvenient in the game is that the shop is not that usefull for now .
I want to see how this game will evolue
thank you! Yeah I know the shop isn’t super useful, its mostly a placeholder for future possibilities at this point.
although break times can be very handy. (Right click to drop your power up and get it, if you didn’t know. I didn’t have time to add that to the tutorial)
It's a good thing the game was so forgiving, as it was very tricky to get all the leaves and that damn dog! A lot of work went into this. The mechanic, art, music, presentation were excellent.
Sometimes, the coins would spawn too high up to reach. Maybe make them fall to the ground like the garbage does. There was a minor bug that prevented me from buying an energy drink.
A very strong entry.
