I really enjoyed playing this! The concept is excellent, and the core gameplay is engaging.  However, I initially struggled to understand how the cards worked. A brief introductory tutorial explaining their functions would significantly improve the onboarding experience.

I didn't understand what the cards did at first, but once I figured it out it was quite fun! Very cool concept, good job! :D

This is actually a super cool premise, I'd love to see it developed further!

First, congratulations on the concept: building your abilities with a deck of card you draw is definitely a good idea.

I loved how the dark section required to make complete use of the deck, and I felt I got to master it down there! (even if I was a little panicky at first)

Overall a great job, keep it up!

Love the idea, i was a bit lost sometimes with what card effect was but i finally found out most of it

Incredible fusion between your two mechanics, both of which are well executed. Falling down that hole in the dark only to discover that you had made a card to help the player escape was a great moment. The graphic juxtaposition between the two sides of the screen is a little harsh, so the two halves almost don't feel like they are part of the same game. Good luck!

I really liked the concept and making it quick to switch the skills by having it right there the whole time. As far as judging the game by the criteria, I think you did fantastic. I'd like to see this game expanded on.

Thanks man! Definitely will expand the game on the techicall and art sides in further rounds. (Love your art aesthetic btw)

This was a very cool game concept. I had some trouble with the camera and the light levels, but it definitely had strong bones, especially for a game jam game. At first I was very confused, but once I figured it out I thought it was very cool to go around collecting cards and getting new moves for my character! Good Job!

Developer(+1)

Appreciate it, man! Didn't have too much time to fix the technical issues, but will fix them on round 2
