The mechanics are nice and simple, and the shooting feels great. This game has a lot of potential, and I'm excited to see its future development

Very nice submission, looks promising. I got spooked by those enemies. The outline shader effect looks stylish. I like the bow drawing animation. It would be cool if firing had a bit of animation too. Also, aren't bows meant to be held straight? I guess this is the gangsta/drive-by version of bow holding. If you continue to work on it, more interaction of the elements with the environment could be cool. Also, I shot an arrow straight up in the air and it hit me but it didn't hurt me.

Developer

I based the bow animation on (POV) headcam footage of someone firing a bow. So that might explain why it feels like the bow is held too low. The other reason I did that is because I didn't want the bow to obstruct too much of the screen.

As for the player being able to get hit by an arrow but not take damage, consider it an easter egg. The player is invincible for now.

This was fantastic!  Easily one of my favorites.  Loved the mechanics.  Shooting the arrows felt great and that is an awesome start to the skill tree.  I just need shift to let me run and then you need a lot more levels!  This is a winner and I hope you keep working on it.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I want to add more mobility to the game like a sprint, slide and possibly a mantle. We'll see if I make it far enough haha

I had a lot of fun, and regret not being able to try out the last two runes. My biggest complaint would be that I sometimes felt like I hit the targets in the bullseye, but they did not disappear.

Developer

Thanks! Yea I had a tough time getting the arrows to register hitting the bulls-eye. I've figured out a fix, but I don't want to update the game at all until after the rating period.

Submitted(+1)

Despite the game not being finished it is really well put together. the runes make for a really cool and different way to implement the secondary mechanic and for progression. Id love to see how this game will come out in the futur

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I debated a long time between making a conventional game with a smaller scope and making something that was based around the task criteria. I'm happy with my decision, but we'll see how it all shakes out!

I like what you made, having some sound effects and some background music could have been a nice addition.
Nice ending where you had to [REDACTED]

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!!! I really liked your take on a puzzle platformer.

(Do you think you could remove the ending spoiler tho? I feel like it's more awesome if people discover it for themselves.)

Submitted(+1)

Sorry removed it 🙈

Cool game ! Hope to see more of it in the next rounds.

Developer

Thank you so much! You too!

Was fun to play on stream.  Appreciate you stopping by.

Movement controller felt super good.  Maybe just a touch floaty at times.  More gravity maybe?  Likely just personal opinion.

The shooting, and especially the aiming, felt really nice.  The triple reticle system was a fantastic touch.  And the upgrade system really gave a good sense of progression.

Nice work!

Developer

Thank you so much, your submission is awesome

This game looks great. I liked how arrows would stick to enemies if I didn’t hit the target. I agree that a little audio would had helped. I assume the reticle for the arrow tensing shows how far the arrow will go? I had some trouble estimating volley trajectories not sure if there could be some visual feedback (maybe locked behind an upgrade).

Developer

Thanks for the solid feedback! I hope I get the chance to improve on it and make it into a more fleshed out and complete game!

Submitted(+1)

this was entertaining. i enjoyed the precision reticle and the classy environment was not lost on me. i believe any kind of audio feedback would go a long way, not just for playability but to accentuate the core and secondary mechanics that, otherwise, were so sturdily implemented. also, i thought a cool feature to come would be allowing fire arrows to set terrain ablaze and ignite enemies that pass through. i hope you had fun making it :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I really like the idea of creating fire surfaces that set other entities on fire!

Submitted(+1)

Very fun game! I got stuck when I had to find the exit, so I may not have looked hard enough lol.

Other than that the progression with the skill tree was great, would love to see this game improve with some nice feedback on killing enemies and stuff like that!

Developer(+1)

Hint: Finishing the level requires an upgrade :D

Submitted(+1)

I liked the mechanics and the upgrade system. My only complaint(not sure if i missed out on any settings) is the mouse sensitivity. Hope you expand on it!

Developer

Yea sensitivity was something I struggled with during development as well (in WebGL the sensitivity was at least double what it was in the editor) I definitely need to add some kind of settings menu if I make it to the next round.

CLEAN! Mechanics felt polished. I enjoyed the shooting arrows and upgrades felt very good.  With such a stable mechanics you could make a proper game out of it.  I hope you will keep working on this project.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! Love your game, it's so cute

Submitted(+1)

This has made such huge progress from what I saw earlier in development! Really enjoyed the mechanics, and would really love to see this developed further!

Developer

Thank you so much. Retail rush was one of my fav submissions, I hope to see what you get up to in the future rounds!

Submitted(+1)

This was awesome. I loved the upgrade tree and getting the fire arrows, really wish I could've gotten that AOE upgrade. I also really like the art and the fire effect  A lot of potential in this one I hope you keep working on it! Great work!

Developer

Thank you so much. I already told you this on stream, but Foxy Farming For Blood blew my mind haha

Submitted(+1)

Definitely huge potential with these mechanics! I would love to see your game evolve into a full RPG.
Well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! I'd love to make an immersive sim or RPG with stealth mechanics and an upgrade tree

Submitted

That sounds wicked!

Submitted(+1)

Developer

Thank you, your game is awesome too

I remember testing this out earlier: great potential here and would love to see where you take this!

Developer

Thank you so much, I loved your submission too!

Bow FPS reminds me of all my stealth archer builds in Skyrim. Great game and nice touch on particle effects for upgrades!

Developer

Yea I really want to add stealth mechanics! It was a toss-up between stealth and upgrades, but upgrades fit the task better.

Submitted(+1)

One of the potentials imo! Really like to see this turned into a full game! :D
Looking forward to it!

Developer

Thank you so much! I loved your game as well, I'm glad to see how far it came since the early prototype I played!
