How does your game fit the theme?
In Backseat Beebow your little sister is playing the game, and you are only able to suggest to her what she should do. The game simulates the frustrations of watching someone play a game that you want to be playing. You are "out of control" because you aren't actually the one playing, and your sister gets mad when you tell her what to do too aggressively.

Awww this game has a really great style, the voice acting is nice and the art style is great. Really nice concept, and I like the detail that the sister's sibling comes out from behind the chair as they're backseat gaming.
With the exception of the instructions font, I loved the presentation! It's great to see the little details, from the voice change to the characters expressions and the sudden screams. The control is easy and interesting, so it's a matter of time correctly your actions. Good work!
Really well-made minigame! Things I liked: the presentation (music, animations, etc), the concept itself. Things I didn't like: the intro text font is a bit ugly and hard to read imo (well it isn't that hard to understand, but it could be better). Bug hunt: using W & S a lot doesn't trigger the lil' sister.
I wish you luck! I'm sure you'll get featured ^^

I liked the design of this a lot. I liked watching the sister's finger travel to the button I asked her to press because it made it easier to understand the timing of the controls. It was clever to include the yelling mechanic, because it saves players who believe they got their timing off and allows them to continue playing.
My only issue was that the collision between the player and the bees felt awkward. It seems that only the front of the bees are harmful and not the insides. It made it more difficult to time jumps.
I liked all your artwork too. The cartoon characters looked really silly.
Overall, it was a real great game!
Wow this was super awesome! I really like the concept of making a game about a backseat-gamer haha. The art and UI is amazing as welll. This idea is so clever, you should keep working on it! Great job submitting to the jam, and I hope you learned a lot of new things! If you have time, please check out my entry :D
nice ‘back-seat gaming’ game? Either way great work!
If you have time I’d appreciate if you could check out my game as well!
Great idea! Very smart. Simulates perfectly the frustration of being a backseat gamer :D
