This is pretty cool! For what it's worth, I think there are a few small things you could do to make it much more intuitive:

  • Make the player cards look different from the enemy's, with symbols, card design, or color (be aware of accessibility for colorblindness though!)
  • Make the icons in the dungeon have more obvious meanings. Like crossed swords for battles, and adding a "+" symbol on the new cards
  • Make some sort of sprite to show where the player is in the dungeon

Nice work! :)

Visuals look clear and the game is very unique. Good job. I do agree, the combat is a little bit confusing but it has great potential, seems interesting!

Seems like it could be a fun virtual board game concept, I really liked the dice in combo with the cards. Good job.

Submitted

I like it, original and clean.

I really liked the visuals and the overall game feel. I did have a difficult time understanding the mechanics, though.

The game is fun! The mechanics were a little unclear to me though.

I think you can make a nice game out of it, you have got a solid base!

I enjoyed playing the game quite a lot. I got stuck in the final battle when I ran out of dice but in general was a positive experience. Would love to see a  bigger version of this that expands on the fantasy elements. I think it'd also be cool to choose the path that you take at intersections and have a more multiple route approach to the dungeon.

The mechanics were a little hard to figure out at first, but I really liked the idea once I figured out what was going on. I think fighting should be made a little more clear, but overall nice entry.

Very nice concept. Battle system confused me at first, but I figured it out by trial and error. Different types of random encounters in the dungeon and more card types could push this to become a really good game. Presentation was simple but very nice.

I believe for combat to work the player would have to have some extra knowledge of what dice the enemy might play. Would allow you to play more strategically.

Wasn't too sure about the combat, loved the idea for rolling dice to move. I started trying to avoid the [!] boxes just to get things moving for me.

Great concept, just needs to be a little clearer on the mechanics.

The visuals are amazing!

Cool concept but it appears I got the same bug some others had. Visuals are excellent and suit the game very nicely

The idea is good but I got the battle bug :'(

I'll save it for later though

I think the gameplay could use some more polishing.

I ran out of rolls against the gnoll and was softlocked, but I like this! I've never played Mario Party but from what I've seen this is like a simpler 1-Player version of it with some more strategy involved. Great concept, good execution!

I've never played D&D before so this kinda was like my introduction to it. haha! I like the concept of me getting to choose my own die roll and hoping that it works out for me when i move. simple idea. Did run into a small bug where I couldn't play any further when I ran out of dice rolls in a battle though. it happens.

I was a little lost on how the game works at first but I saw your screenshot with some explanation and it became more clear. Some mechanics are still a little confusing (what is the roll dice of the enemy, what are the consequences of loosing or winning a combat, some effect of some cards), but managing our dices to face random event event in both exploration and combat quickly become really fun. I think there could still some improvements in the mechanisms for making the game really addictive (may be sharing the combat dices and the explorations dice to have more challenge and uncertainty, being able to get some dices with random values after a combat instead of just refilling automatically the 6 values, ...) but it is already a good base for a nice idea !

The concept is super strong and the visuals really suit the style.

The idea is really strong, the concept of resource management that comes in with the cards. The visuals were pleasing. I could have done with a little more gameplay. It felt like my actions were having little consequence after a point and I wasn't really required to think tactically.

Love it!
