I loved the music, Nice work

I'm still playing but wanted to tell you your audio/music is beautiful and just up my alley of my compositional style. Definitely interested if you have any composition accounts (soundcloud, bandcamp, etc.)

Ok so now I got to playing, and honestly the concept is SO cool and original. It's quite a little geometric puzzle game, and I really am enjoying it a lot! well done!

Hey! Thanks for playing and for the compliments! Here's my portfolio, there is a bunch of game jam soundtracks and other sound design works:

the interface is really nice!

OH MY GOD! At first, I thought this was going to be another puzzle game where you have to give a character instructions, but this is SO MUCH BETTER AND COOLER! Hacking instructions so it does something other then it's original intention? That makes some REALLY COOL PUZZLES! I LOVE IT!

The only note: Some easier puzzles to help get used to the concepts, and to make me feel smarter then I am!

Love the title! This looks like it could be a really good game. I really like the art style. The difficulty ramps up too fast for me though. definitely has potential.

very interesting gameplay and really fitting for the theme! i felt a little confused by all of the commands, because i wasn't 100% sure what all of them did, but i still managed to do it somehow :D great job ^^

The art and music are really well done!

Great puzzle game (not for my head though ;)), a lot of potential, but needs slightly better difficulty curve in my opinion. I love that the lines of movement are updated after every change - without this I probably wouldn't pass level 2 or something ;)

This might be a great puzzle game, but I haven't really worked out how to solve the problems. I did complete several levels through trial and error, but I could not work out exactly what effect my actions were having, either intuitively or through the text descriptions on the itch page. The game sounds great: the subtle music and wind sfx give a bleak mood without it feeling oppressive or distracting. The main thing to improve would be communicating to the player how to play.

Nice brain teaser. May need more instruction at the beginning of the game.

Thanks for playing! Yeah, the morning after jam I found nobody can understand how to play the game. I hope tutorial in the description helps!

Submitted(+1)

Cool! Although to be fair did quite a bit of trial&error at the end ;-)

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, haven't had time for less prone to this puzzeles!

Well done game! The art and sound are very well finished, and the concept is cool, only problem i have with it, apart from me sucking at coding games, is that it is not apparently clear what does what, and i felt bamboozled on the fourth level, but that can just be me being bad. Overall, it is a cool game, but with a litle polish it could be great. Also the background lore from the player text is kinda interesting.

Thank you!

I beat it. But last level was just random trail and error ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I like the background sound and your art style, works well together and fits the mood.

However, it was kind of hard to reason about what will happen if you place a hack on one spot. Maybe you will get used to it, if you play more levels?

Wow, this is an awesome little puzzle game! I can easily see an updated version with more levels finding an audience. The presentation is really, really good and the music is nice and ambient, which is important when you're trying to focus on the brain teasers. If I had any criticism I'd say that the jump in difficulty from level 1 to 2 is a little high. Otherwise, great job!!!

Really fun game!

The graphics, sound and overall mood were really immersive, and (once I figured it out) the gameplay and puzzles were smart. It's took a while to figure out how each of the hacks worked, but that's all part of these "programming" games. It was a really good idea to draw the preview line on the screen :)

Overall, great job

Great movement puzzles! And the menu loading up at the start was very cool too! It may have been nice to have an arrow point in the direction the robot is facing, but other than that I really enjoyed playing, and this is a great jam entry!

Thank you for playing our game!

It's a nice idea well executed. I always loved "coding" games and the visuals also work well.

This is super cool. I did have to read the description to figure out where to put the commands but after that I was very impressed with how much you managed to do in 48 hours! The CRT effect, buzzing noises and other ambient stuff really helped sell it.

The guidelines on the robots definitely made me lazy in terms of actually thinking things through. I beat level 4 by assuming that I had to ram the other robot and then just placed the hacks until there was a path that ran that way. Might just be a personal problem though :)

Developer

I am so happy you liked it! Thank you very much for playing!

Cool game hidden behind a bit convoluted UI! Art was on point! Really liked it, good job <3 If you have time would give our game a go? https://itch.io/jam/gmtk-2020/rate/692904
