Nice game, quite fun to play. I really like the 3D art and animations, music, and SFX. I agree with the comments of others, but there are a few things I have not seen being mentioned.

First, the game lacks some sort of progression. There are multiple ways to add this, for example, you could gradually increase the number of enemies, introduce tougher enemies, make the pilot travel towards some final goal, etc. Without it, the game felt like I could play indefinitely with not really that much of a challenge.

The other issue is related to the pilot themself. Do they have a purpose? Is there some way to control them or do they have some destination? To me, it felt the pilot just wanders randomly and also very slowly. In the first couple of minutes, I did not even notice there's a pilot because I just stayed at the beginning and did not need to move at all. I would either increase the pilot's speed or give them some actual path, so they can be more important for the game.

Overall, I had fun playing your game, good job on creating that in just 48 hours.

First off, thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Second, this basically reads like the unfinished todo list of the game. All of this was stuff that was planned but I ran out of time to implement, so whilst it's kind of sad their omission compromises the game, it's nice to know it's fairly obvious where we were going.

What a great game, everything feels really nice to play. I wish there would be some kind of indicator that alert me of being too far from my pilot.

Great job! My only complain is about the camera, I think it's really hard to tell where are new enemies coming from (and sometimes it's too late when you find out haha).  But overall it's a nice game, congrats!

This was an ongoing issue during development, and I'm very aware we didn't get it right. Thanks for trying it though and I'm glad you liked it.

Yeah, I mean, you did a great job even considering that! Maybe keeping the camera but adding some warning signs could help :)

Super nice art, and the gameplay was fun once I understood how all the mechanics fit together. Would have loved a scoring system but I see below that you ran out of time, which is understandable.

Excellent art and presentation! I think it sometimes struggles to stay within the theme as the pilot kinda wanders away and it doesn't really feel like you are joined together with him, but still the polish and juice and everything makes this a super interesting and great game. Awesome work and very very juicy! I'm hydrated now.

Really cool little game, the moves are smooth and nice. Was hard to know what to do but still look great!

Fun little game idea. I did have some issues with clouds (I think) covering the screen which didn't feel too good. The controls and visuals were nice and was pretty satisfying to shoot up the incoming drones. I just wish I could see things better.

Really interesting premise, unfortunately I wasn't able to really get into the game as I am on a laptop with a trackpad. I understand that adding controller support is not always easy but it might be something to consider if you take this game further. Great attempt

Very good theme and looks very nice! I like the artstyle and music! Plus the animations are super smooth.

Had alot of fun, but didn't intuitively understand the relationship between the astronaught and the robot.

Developer

There's a lot more work we should have done to explain the game, sure. I'm glad you enjoyed it though.

fantastic game, the robot was beautiful!

Developer

Thank you, I'm very happy with the mech designs.

Very nice robot!  Great soundtrack for such a short time.  It is hard to shoot the aliens and has some trouble running smoothly on a i7700-HQ.

I like the artwork.

Developer

I'm sorry to hear you had performance issues. What browser are you usin?

Submitted

Firefox.  Apparently it depends on which graphic card my laptop uses.  With the integrated chipset it is slow, with the dedicated nvidia gpu it runs fine.

Developer

Ah yeah. Some browsers and some laptops can be wrong about which graphics card to use when it comes to webgl.

Is there a way to win? I like the game but can't tell if I'm supposed to take the pilot somewhere

Developer

No, it's just endless waves. I did want to have some kind of scoring but ran out of time.

I really like the art of the alien world and the robot! The waves of robots were fun to fight off, but at first I was confused about what to do.

Developer

We could have done more to explain what's going on, but we ran out of time. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
