How does your game fit the theme?
In “Until We Meet Again” players use a combination of joining and breaking chains of RINGS to create a system that sorts and filters a random group of shapes. The organised shapes need to then be re-grouped on specific RINGS (marked with rockets) order to clear the level and send the aliens home! We're aware there are logic issues that were unresolved by the end of the jam - we were unable to resolve them design-wise at that time and we understand it can feel unintuitive. I would suggest that if you're stuck (ish) that you reset the level as it's much easier to clear from a clean level.

god dam is this game annoying I tried to enjoy it but the small space, janky snapping, and shapes swaping between adjacent rings inffuriates me. I would love to see an update to this game that gives you more space to work with (use full screen), some form of GUI that shows where the tracks will end up and what it will be connected too, and I would love it if shape coliosons woulndt cause a trafic jam or just change the direction of flow for each circle.

First impressions of  this game are so good. The art is simple and easy to read, which fit the chill vibe of the music perfectly. I struggled slight with the controls, and found the circles snapped to one another at the exact wrong time if I wasn't paying enough attention. Overall all the game is really satisfying to play, well done!

Good presentation. The art style is very clean and pleasant to look at.

Nice and calm well designed puzzler :)

I kinda missed being able to speed things up, though.

Neat idea! Sound track suits the mood of the game!

This is a pretty cool game, i really enjoyed playing, one feedback i would have is to place the restart button somewhere else, many times i went to move the main circle, i would restart by accident. this was a great concept, kind of reminds me of mini-metro (at least the look and feel) great job

The controls are a bit finnicky, but this is a super cool idea and really nice looking execution! Good job!

The idea is great and the realization is superb. I just wish it was intended to build all filters in one go and then just watch the shapes go, instead of having to move the filters around while everything moves inside. I think having to move them around on the go gives the game a somewhat messy feel that I would have preferred to avoid. But anyway, didn't prevent me from spending half an hour toying with filters :') good job

5/5 great mechanic

Submitted(+2)

It took a few minutes to understand how the filtering works, but it's actually quite clever! The art and music is also really nice. One improvement would be to add a button to speed up the game, for once you already know you've built the correct filter setup. Well done!

This is a beautiful game. It look me a little time to understand how to filter and manipulate the pods but one I understood it I was completely absorbed. Reminds me of things like mini-metro. Lovely aesthetic and really nice tweening animations. Well done, this is a fantastic game.

Developer(+1)

Haha, thanks! Mini-metro was definately the epicenter of the moodboard for this project AND FOR EVERY FUTURE PROJECT.

Very cool puzzle game, I'd love to have this on mobile. Nice art and music as well, love how minimal yet meaningful it is. Bravo.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We usually make mobile games so I'm so glad our concepts feel like they would still translate well to our main platform even when its not intentional >.<

Amazing game! Very calm and beautiful music and art. One of my favourite games in this jam.

Super interesting mechanic. Sometimes is hard to understand the atraction of the nodes, some feedback on that would be nice to plan accordingly your movements. Also, a fastforward option is mandatory in this kind of games.

Otherwise, clever idea, cool presentation.

Developer

Definately with you here, the mechanic is pretty promising but the logic needs to be better described through feedback in order for it to truly be a minimalist and intuitive experience. Thank you for playing!

This game is incredible - a really interesting mechanic that fits the theme well, and you’ve done an awesome job in turning that mechanic into a really clever puzzle that is pretty moreish. The polish on the game is also spectacular, coming together to give an overall really peaceful and pleasant puzzling experience. I had a lot of fun playing around with the filters, different orders, etc. One of my favourites so far!

Developer

Thank you so much, and its great to hear you attempted the levels more than once and found different ways of solving the same level! It's so hard to tell there are actually other options since I have my own optimal way of solving each level lol.

Very clever use of simple mechanics. The "feel" of the game is also great. As well as the pan/zoom some have mentioned, another minor quality of life improvement I'd have appreciated would be a fast forward. I had fun playing though!

Developer(+1)

It's great to see people vocalize the want for a fast-forward as I didn't even consider it, but it'll definately be on my list if I build a similar concept to this in the future!

Submitted(+1)

It was difficult to stop playing. As other's have said, panning and zooming would've been nice to help the organization of the circles. Everything looked good, music was appropriate, and the puzzles were interesting.

Submitted(+1)

Nice game! I would suggest a pan view, because sometimes the camera would zoom itself in and cut the view.

I love the simple design & satisfying spins! Good work!

Developer(+2)

Hi, thanks for the suggestion! Yeah a pan/zoom for the camera would definately have put the control of composing the arrangement in the hands of the player instead of us lol. Probably would have saved us alot of time!

Thanks for playing :)

Submitted(+1)

This game has a lot of nice little touches that make it feel good to play. I especially love how the camera zooms in slowly when you've selected a ship.

Bit tricky to get the pieces to go where you want them to go but the presentation is superb, well done!
