How does your game fit the theme?
The player controls a frog Joined Together with a magical shadow. They have to solve puzzles together in order for them to grow up as independent people! Our Frog character, Penn, lives in a world of Top Down 2D Perspective, while their Shadow (Umbra) exists in a Side-scrolling dimension. You have to navigate both dimensions at once in order to progress, so our game literally joins together two styles of gameplay, for block puzzles!

Really cool art style and the intro scene is quite a touch.
I would say just be more clear about the objective since I was lost right from the start and I didnt know if I had to restart the level.
I know for a jam is difficult to pull off a good tutorial but it really pays off to introduce mechanics slowly to make sure your players understand.
Great job none the less.
the pixel art is very good looking! and the intro is awesome!
The intro is so cool!
Looks great and has a cool concept. Movement feels clunky though, would prefer it too be smoother. Very in keeping with the frog character though.
I loved the idea of the game and its harmony with the theme. Music level design and pixel art are also very nice. The only bad thing I can say is the gameplay is a bit cumbersome but I have no idea on how to your fix it. I like this game
The itch page looks so good! the intro pixel art was also amazing, sadly it didn't translate in the gameplay :(
Was a bit confused at first, but all in all really creative and cute presentation!
I couldn't find out what to do sadly.
Seemed fun and original from the comments, and I liked the animation at the start.
Well done!
hi there, i'm sorry to hear that! due to the time restraints, we were unable to implement a tutorial in-game. there is a description of what everything does on the main itch page if you'd like to give it another go, but either way thank you so much for playing our game!
Really creative puzzles and cute aesthetics!
omg, i didn't think i would be able to finish but i did it :D This mechanic is the most original one I've seen in the game jam and fits the theme really well. I'm looking forward to see updates and more development on this game.
If you will continue developing it I would definetily recommend that you add a tutorial to smoothen the learning curve.
Once I got the grasp of the mechanics the game was really enjoyable and interesting. This concept opens lots of possibilities in terms of level design.
Overall a solid and great job!
I was super confused at first, but it's very fun once I figured it out. More levels and a better tutorial would definitely help this game.
Really liked the mechanics once I understood the concept. As others mentioned, a tutorial would be helpful- didn't notice those light bulbs at the bottom but once I did it clicked a bit more. I think having the shadows on the floor (in the frog's space before the light is on) is a little unnecessary and led me astray at first.
Was sad to see it was only two levels! The puzzles were really cool and I could see that concept growing in some fascinating ways. You should be proud of the Prism block, that's an excellent mechanic for this game.
Really nice concept, although I was a bit lost at the beginning. A tutorial would be nice, but I figured it out in the end. Overall nice concept and amazing artwork!
...How do I complete the first level? What do I have to do? I have three boxes to push around in a very limited space and did not find out how to do anything else. :(
I like your idea and I absolutely adore the inclusion and style of your intro sequence, however.
I think this is a very neat game concept! I was totally lost at first though, I had to go on the game page to understand the mechanics at all, could use a tutorial. Still pretty neat.
Oh, the game page. I did not yet have that idea, thanks!
