Interesting concept. I think the mechanics need a bit of work to really "flow", right now it feels a bit more like a proof of concept than a game. But I think you got something there and with some tweaks, power ups, enemies etc. I can see this turning into a neat little shooter. The pixel art is really crisp and well made, very impressive job for 48h!

Interesting shooter! I love the art, especially the main character's design. Could use tighter controls and a little momentum in the player's movement.

The theme isn't embodied as well as it could have been. The only thing the links between bullets do is allow enemies to trigger them. Maybe limit the number of bullets the player can spawn at a time, but have the links between them remain when they are fired, damaging enemies which are passed by linked bulled on either side. This way the order you place your bullets in matters a little more.

For even more intensity you could require all the bullets to be placed before the player can set them off, forcing the player to hurry to form a chain before the enemies reach and redirect it.

Really nice looking game! The gameplay is really fun but a bit hard to get used to (I switched dash/bullet a lot a time) Very good job 😁

I liked this game, control feels good and the game mechanic is an original one. Did not figured on begining about the Linked together theme, but when an enemy break the link between bullets, bullets becomes deadly for the player !

I like the idea and the aesthetics of the game! Clever backfire mechanic! Maybe when we link the bullets, the chains can also damage the enemies? Overall good job on making such solid game!

Some sound would have went a long way to make the game feel more polished. I think it's a very clever idea, and something I haven't seen before. My only issue is that I had the most success placing and firing a single bullet, or just stacking them in place to increase their speed. I didn't feel any benefit from creating long risky chains. Overall a great start, and the art works very well.

I love the concept! and it's really well polished. I really didn't expect the enemies to swat my bullets back at me after I fired, really made me cautious about just leaving them lying around.

Solid job!

Lovely concept and presentation!

Took me a few tries before I read the description and noticed the bullets would go in the direction of your dash. At first I dropped the bullets and waited until the enemies would hit it ... but then I would get killed (obviously).

But overall amazing game jam submission!

This game was so good. so many good tradeoffs and tactical decisions enabled by the fact that that bullets can harm you and you have to dash the way your shooting. It was really hard though which kinda stopped me from figuring out how to make the right decisions. I think a bigger stage would have probably helped on that front. This is probably my fave game I've played other than my own ofc lol.  Last minute lawyer if your interested.

I really love the artwork, the animations, feel, are really well executed. The game looks beautiful.

I think the main mechanic should have been developed a little bit more!

Really good work :)

Looks absolutely amazing!

It was interesting that I couldn't just sit with a bullet and dodge toward an enemy though since that would get me killed. It had me thinking a lot more about my movement in an interesting way. It was also really cool that enemies were reacting to the chain you drew.

I think a joystick or mouse would probably help with the dodging since WASD made it feel really restricted.

Some sound would have really helped sell it!

Fun game, but I felt like the bullets didn't do at all what I wanted them to do and I felt a bit more frustrated than I'd have liked.

Clever way to use the theme ! I feel like it would be perfect to play with a controller. Maybe some sound effect, a larger area and a recovery between shots or a length limit to the chain, and you will have a very balanced and addictive game. I'm also amazed by the quality of the pixel art. Nice job !

This is one of the best concepts I've seen so far. The fact that you have to dash to make the bullets go means you have to think carefully before shooting or you will run right into the enemies. To make the game even better I would add a bit of leeway in the direction that the bullets travel, I often found that they would fly in the wrong direction. Also, some sound effect would add a lot to the overall feel of the game.

really great! curious to see how this one could be extended with different abilities/combos/etc.

i love the mechanic so much, and the enemies being able to toss your projectiles was really clever. i think having a slightly larger area to move around in would have made it even more fun :3

Very creative use of theme. It's quite hard though. I like that there's a penalty for just spamming the drop button and the enemies actually try and catch you out and go for your bullets rather than you.

Cool game
