I love the presentation! Very cute artstyle and amazing polish with the camera shake effects, little dust particles when walking and the potion animations for different health levels. The sound and music are also very well done.
The gameplay, while satisfying, was a bit confusing for me. I thought that enemies took damage when touching walls (because of the hit effect) but I got one stuck bouncing between 2 walls and it did not die, so I ruled it out :p
I think it would be cool if instead of passive health restoration, small potions would appear randomly that would heal you when collected. So instead of idly waiting to get health back, you'd have to look around the level to find them. But of course that would take much more time to add and time is not something you've got plenty of in 48h jam.
Great job!
Thank you for your feedback! We will be sure to make adjustments in order to spice up the gameplay / clear up confusion in a post-jam release.

i really like the art and music, but i think a faster pace would be more suitable for a game like this one. like the others said here, i usually just try to dash away and wait around for my health to regenerate so that i could attack again. i think using the bottle cap and potion contents as a way to track your dash and your health is a cool idea, but it took me a while to realize that the bottle cap was connected to my dash at all. i heard the time limit didn't give you enough time to make a tutorial, so these problems may be a result of that. still, i like the idea and how it turned out :)
Thank you for your feedback! We intended for the bottle cap to sort of "fly off" when you dashed to signify a sort of propulsion as well as providing other cues to the dash, but, of course, time limit.

My favorite game since now!
The bouncing of the potion feels SO right, I can just see it jump back and force for minutes! The art is simple but clean and I LOVE IT!
I like the idea that the potion itself is the hero, make the health very intuitive without UI.
The two skills are smart too. I like both of them! I agree it is a little hard to estimate the health/energy left though, so I never let it go too little lol. Guess that's part of the skill the game want player to practice.
If anything to complaints is the level is too short and enemies are too easy to defeat! I'd love to see more for this game!
Awesome job!
The polish jumps out hard, really elegant design that removes as much UI from the screen as possible.
This is a really well-designed game, as others have mentioned it is a perfect fit for the theme through and through. Well done!
Similar mechanic to my game! I like the execution of this a lot, it's very fun.
Oh my goodness this game is incredible. Scene transitions, sound effects, music, cute characters, strategy, and a perfect fit to the theme. Super polished and creative. Great game 11/10 fantastic job! My absolute favorite game so far :)
I know your art guy is a veteran. Everything is a place, colors, shapes, thumbnail. Keep him close, he really knows what he is doing. Good game!
super cool! but its really confusing at first
Thank you for your feedback! We had to skimp on the tutorial due to the time limit, but in the future we hope to revise it in order to address some of the more confusing aspects.

The screen transition looks amazing. I also agree with everything everyone else has said here.
The art and animation in this are NEXT level. Wow the way things draw on and off. God it makes me drool! Great work!
Gameplay, art, animations, controls, music.. Everything is great. One of the best games I've played in this jam.
Your pallet choice is really nice. Very pleasant to play!
Cool game. I like the trade off between your life and your special attack. It's hard to tell when you can use attack though, maybe add a meter show your attack recharge time? I enjoyed it though, and I love the pixel art!
Thank you for your feedback! Although the dash attack has the bottle cap signifier to tell you when you can use it, we will most certainly make that one more obvious and noticeable as well as adding a cue for the area attack as well.

Love the dynamic pixel art look! and the hole aesthetic is really charming. My only real gripe is the slow pace. Great Job!
Thank you for your feedback!

Really cool game! I love how the health is the potion. I also love the idea of mixing health and damage
