Would it even be a GMTK jam without a shoot to move mechanic? All joking aside, this was absolutely fantastic. The movement was super satisfying, and the addition of the pressure gauge to both keep you from relying on one member too much and serving as a constant reminder of which button controlled which guy was a fantastic addition. Well done!

I didn't even noticed that I've kept the shoot to move gmtk tradition until I saw your comment lol. I'm glad you liked it! :)

It took me a short time to get the hang of the movement, but it sure felt satisfying when I did and those little astronauts went where I wanted. Very cool game! My only feedback would be to use A and D, as these are the usual movement buttons on a keyboard.

Developer

Yeah S and D are weird key choices haha. Glad you liked the game :)

Amazing game! Simple and satisfying!

its a bit complicated but i got it and had some fun!

The game is pretty fun, but relying on they turning on their on is a pain sometimes. Also, you didn’t need to explicitly say the rings were optional, you could try showing this to the player in the main path so he would inevitably get it and realize it was a optional collectible

A simple concept which works very well. It's just sometimes a bit hard to remember which button is triggering which color

The idea is simple at first glance but the execution is nicely done! Very difficult to master as some have said before 😃

Loved the simplistic presentation of this one and the "easy to learn, hard to master" feel of it. Good job! Maybe would have liked the optional coins to reset on death though.

While gravity is overrated, this game isn't! It's a really fun, although challenging experience. The characters are really challenging to control, while still keeping in mind to not explode. Great gameplay, cool music, and good-looking visuals! Well done 5/5!

Great concept! The controls take a bit to get used to but one you get there it's super fun.

When I use too much oxygen and the alarm goes off I panic and start burning even more oxygen.

The art and atmosphere is amazing!

Congrats on submitting!

I was pretty motivated to get better with the controls because it was fun, so good Job! Maybe the optional coin should reset when you die, because otherwise you can yolo into the coin and then go a safer rout to complete the level

Developer(+1)

It was the intention at first but the implementation was hard because of the way I've coded the game. I'll change the coin system after the jam. I'm glad you found it fun!

Really love the concept! The game looks super pretty too :D

I like this. Clean and simple idea with just enough messing with my brain to get me nervous about everything I do while not being overwhelmed.

Great idea and well executed. I'm really curious what a speed run of this game would be like.

Takes quite a bit of patience and getting used to if you want to get into the right mind frame to 100% this game, but it’s not too hard – a good balance of difficulty. https://i.imgur.com/E4mI9Pc.jpeg

Possible improvements:

  • reduce chromatic aberration a bit, makes the characters almost illegible if they’re in the corners
  • have some way of seeing the amount of thrust remaining on each color on the characters themselves, on a big screen it’s a bit hard to keep an eye on the thrust indicator as well as the the characters themselves

Overall, I like the vibe of the game and the mechanics, just needs a bit more polish and maybe some further exploration on different twists on the core mechanic. Good job!

Developer

Yeah the visibility of the gauges could be better, I'll work on it after the jam ends. Im glad you enjoyed the game!

The concept of the game is quite fun, and I loved the art style of the game! It is engaging and each level has you apply your skills in an even more intricate way than the last. I really liked how neatly it fit with the theme as well. Overall, great job!

This game is really very fun! I was amazed at how much better I got at the game in just a few levels, and the difficulty ramped up at an appropriate pace too. I think having the jetpack meter that you have to balance, where you can't use too much of either color, is a really great feature that definitely elevates this game. It forces you to keep mental track of not just where you are and the rotation of your player, but also how much jetpack fuel you can budget. Great work!
