How does your game fit the theme?
Golf needed to be more interesting, so we joined together the golfer and their golf kart; now, you drive the sentient golf kart, and drag the golfer around the golf course.

Welp, taht was stupid... and fun 👌

The concept is pretty fun but the only problem I have with it is the fact that all the balls are automatically going towards the holes. I think having auto aim is NEEDED considering the chaos that is moving the character but I also feel like you can just ride through and spam left click on every ball to win.

Overall really nice, hope this can help you improve the game :)

Really great game! Just driving around whacking stuff was really fun and it looked really good too. Had a good variety of enemies as well.

I played until I unfortunately got an error after completing one of the levels, it didn't affect my enjoyment much since it happened late into the game but I should still mention it.

When I saw a golf game, I wasn't expecting combat ^^

it's a fun idea, I especially like the "Hole mimic" enemies

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much!  Animating the mimics was pretty fun, I'm glad you like them. :)

Really fun, really funny, some nice touches like making the balls go toward holes without having to be super precise while dragging a player around on a cart. Just hit them and they just go in. Fun game!

Developer

Hudson is the Golf™ world champion, so you’d expect him to be able to aim pretty well by himself ;)

really really nice! ;D
really satisfying gameplay look! :D
also like the humor and the great ambiance with the soundtrack and the idea of being chainnend to a sentient golf car hahaha ;p
the only thing I found not that great is that you are send to far back, and in combination with the stef difficulty curve on hole 4 makes that even worse.
but again: I really enjoyed a lot (so much that I sent it to a friend to try it)
great work! ;)

Developer(+1)

Glad you enjoyed it! We tried to hit a sort of COTND theme with the soundtrack, but I went a little off the rails on the last one, lol. It definitely could’ve done with a bit more balancing lategame, but we were up against the wall on time by that point. Great job on your game as well!

Loved the skid marks. I'm baffled by how you made the balls gravitate towards the holes. Its really well done and makes for a good game feel.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words, fellow golf game creator!

It was very laggy for me on the browser, but it's probably the best golf game I played so far! Good job

Developer

yeah... we weren't expecting the browser version to be so laggy compared to the windows one (and many other weird problems that only existed on one platform) which is disappointing, but thank you for playing and i'm glad you enjoyed it!

Very satisfying way to utillize simple 2D physics. It's well polished and really fun!

Submitted(+2)

Very silly and very fun, loved it!

Submitted(+3)

Impressive amount of stuff in this game. The polish suffers a bit because of that but regardless I had a great time playing!

Submitted(+2)

This rules. Nicely done!

Submitted(+3)

Nice job, I think the groundskeepers will be happy with the renovations I've made to their golf course.

Thank you so much for this game, guys. I really hope you get featured; it's so good. :)

CAN"T WAIOT FOR GOLF 3! BIG FAQN!!

Developer(+1)

I like to Golf

Submitted(+2)

Very satisfying to play, and with a fun unique setting. It's even quite funny at times. My main complaint after a couple of runs is that the enemy golf cars are *such* a difficulty spike, though I wonder if that's deliberate and they're there to gate off unfinished areas of the game? Not sure. Anyway, very enjoyable overall.

Developer(+1)

yeah, the evil carts are kinda busted... they were one of the first enemies we made and we didn't end up tweaking/forgot to tweak them after we added more LOL

thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

Love the aesthetic, and that cart is so well drawn/animated. Ran into a few bugs, but overall I liked what I played :D

Developer(+1)

thank you! roguelikes are already such a hard genre to develop and bugtest for, let alone a gamejam one :P i found myself working all the way up to the hour trying to get as much as possible functional.. it's unfortunate we couldn't get everything cleaned up, but we still had a lot of fun and overall really enjoy what we made.

This was hilarious. What tool did you use to create the music?

Developer (1 edit)

Glad you enjoyed playing it, we used FamiTracker, OpenMPT, and FL Studio 20!
