I had a lot of fun with these puzzles and only stopped because my laundry needs to go in the dryer lol I've seen other implementations of a health bar being joined with something, but this is a really unique take on that idea! And the puzzles are just great. Just challenging enough to make me think without being so hard that I just give up out of laziness lol

Great game!

Cool concept, I felt like some of the puzzles were a bit too easy to figure out since there's only so much you can do specially at the beginning but they do get more interesting once you get the laser ability. I really like the aesthetic too, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  Yeah, they might be a bit on the easy end at the start.  Hitting the right balance between too hard and too easy is difficult, especially for the opening levels for a puzzle game.

well designed game!!!, loved the idea

I really enjoyed playing it 5/5

Submitted(+1)

5/5, I think it's one of the cleverest game I played on this jam. Congrats!

Ingenious risk/reward system. The core mechanic is so simple yet so versatile for setting up a wide variety of environmental puzzles. The minimalist design also really helps with the user experience. Definitely the kind of gameplay experience I would spend hours obsessing over :) Fantastic work!

Developer

Thank you so much!  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Sorry for not getting a chance to play your game during a stream but I am running out of time and had a hefty amount of games to get through so I am just playing and rating at this point! Thank you for your understanding :D

Developer(+1)

No worries at all, I'm just glad you got to play (and hopefully enjoy) it.

Submitted(+1)

I did! The concept of the main gameplay loop was actually pretty original and fun to play thru!

Nice level design, I really liked the laser spicing up the later stages. Really cool submission!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  Yeah, the laser opens up a lot of interesting ideas.

Submitted(+1)

That was really cool. The puzzles felt a little on the easy side after you figure out all the mechanics, but that's almost better for a game jam so I can feel clever and play your whole game. The graphics were great. Music was super loud by default, but that's what the speaker knobs are for I guess lol.

The core premise is straightforward enough and your level designs in the beginning did a great job of teaching it. Well done. Great little game for the 48 hours it took to make. Congrats!

Developer

Thank you!  Especially since I didn't have an undo button, I wanted to make sure the puzzles weren't too long or frustrating.

Great puzzle design, Interesting game mechanic, wonderful hidden tutorial that teaches the player progressively, Loved the game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  I like tricking the player into learning, it's more fun that way.

Submitted(+1)

never saw a puzzler like that before, but it was a great concept! Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!  It felt like a novel design space to explore.

This game was so fantastic. It does a great job of introducing it's mechanics and then building on them. The game looks great, and the sound design fits the aesthetic perfectly. No bad things to say, I'm looking forward to more if you are going to continue this. Great work

Developer

Thanks!  I'm glad you thought the sounds fit, I wasn't sure if they would.

@ZacE very fun mechanic, the art style was very good and polished, I was a little confused at first probably adding some kind of tutorial would help, overall I loved the game :D

Submitted(+1)

This is a really cool take on the idea. The game feels really polished and straight forward to pickup, and has an amazing key concept which ties to the player health. Amazing!! :)

Submitted(+1)

Really neat game! The core concept of your health being synced with your environment is really unique and the introduction of many different ways to "desync" the two in order to solve puzzles is great.

I think there's a lot of potential for even more levels here and would love to play through an expanded post-jam version!

There was one minor glitch where I could pass through a wall tile. Was the intention of this puzzle to allow you to walk through the tile? I only stumbled upon this since I couldn't figure out any other way to complete the level.

Developer(+1)

Thanks!  That's absolutely not the intended way to solve it, so thanks for pointing it out!  That one level is a lot easier than it looks.  Funny you should find a glitch, I was just playing Shuffolks (which is amazing), and I found a glitch where one of the folks got misaligned with the grid and I couldn't move them around at all.

Submitted(+1)

Ah okay, I need to go back and solve it properly then :)

And thanks for playing Shuffolks, I'll definitely try to squash those bugs in a post-jam version!

Very nice game! I like the original concept to link your health with the environment. It was kind of confusing at first to seemingly do the same actions (ie. step on the same tiles) and sometimes die and other times survive, so as a tip I would make the health display a more prominent thing as it is kind of hard to notice right now. But other than that very well done!

Developer

Thanks!  That's a completely fair point.  By the time I found a better solution than just having the health on the bottom of the screen it was too late to fix it in time.

Lovely puzzle game! Nice art and  good concept.

Submitted(+1)

This is brilliant. Great puzzles but nothing so tough that I ever felt lost or too frustrated. Excellent job integrating your tutorials into the gameplay!

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much!  I like trying to make the tutorials as organic as possible, so I'm glad it worked out.

Very nice puzzle game, I liked it!
At first, I wasn't sure it really fitted the theme, but I see now where the "joining" part is

The levels are very well made, they act as both a puzzle and a progressive tutorial, it felt great to find the floor's solution everytime!

Very good job!
