A super cool submission that I really enjoyed playing! At first, I didn't really understand how to properly defend from all the enemies but after playing for a while I kinda got the hang of it and it was super fun chaining kills and killing lots of enemies in 1 blow.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm really glad you took the effort of trying to understand the mechanics! :)

Very challenging and fun and i loved the art

Developer

Thank you! :D

Wow, your game mechanics  and art pretty good. Great work!

Developer

Thank you very much <3

Cool presentation, I liked the art and music, and how "biological" everything is and I dig the main mechanic. I was just a little overwhelmed by the amount of enemies, but otherwise cool concept!

Developer

Thank you a lot! :D

the presentation for this game was really strong. i felt like the gameplay got unmanageably hard too quick and i couldn’t survive beyond the first few waves. it would have been cool if there was something i could do to restore the health of the beast, like some randomly generated pickups. the chaining animation was great though and the whole thing felt really polished. <3

Developer

Thank you for your comment! Indeed the difficulty progression is quite rough, we didn't have the time to iterate much on it, but I would love to do so in the future :D Health pick-ups are a cool idea that might lead the player to make more choices in their coverage of the map, I write it down!

Well done! I got a score of 7140, really unique and impressive gameplay for a short game jam. Just well done.

Developer

Thank you! It is really kind <3

The art and music are great, and the microscopic setting is pretty unique.  Like others have said, the balance is a bit off.  Maybe allowing you to shoot across the worm body in the middle would make things more manageable?

Developer

Thank you!

Actually we were able to walk and shoot over the worm at some point, but it kinda reduced its physical feel :/ But I think there are things to be done both about the arena layout and the wave rhythm!

Really interesting game! I played this for a bit just trying to get good at it.

Developer

Thank you, I'm really glad that you're enjoying our game :D

Super fun gameplay and a really interesting mechanic! The art and music is really cool too!

Developer

Thank you very much! <3

The art and music is perfect! And the control is smooth. I tried few times, but the curve just went up too quick. Wish I can beat the level to see more kinds of enemy or meet new abilty in player:D

Developer

Thank you for your kind words!

Haha don't get your hopes too high, we didn't get to design any more enemies in the jam time, and we do know that our difficulty curve is too steep ^^' But I'll definitely try adding more enemies and rebalancing the difficulty in the future!

My highscore was 7460

The art for this is really beautiful!  The sound is great, the ominous menu sets the tone really nicely. Spooky and interesting to listen too! The music during the game fits really nicely. I especially like the electric zap sound. The enemy count ramps up really quickly, if they were rolled out slower it could make for a really zen experience (at least that's how it felt lining up the zapper on the first 3 slower enemies). I could see it feeling less overwhelming if the reload time for your zapper was quicker, or if you could add to the number of trip wires you place by collecting upgrades. Just an idea, great game guys nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much! We pretty much all agree on the fact that the enemy number increase is too fast, sadly we lacked the time to fix that on the jam time, but I would love to iterate on this game in the future!

Submitted(+3)

Really incredible idea! I think this game makes most interesting + unique use of the theme out of all the games I've seen so far.

Great art and colors, but the idea shines the brightest! I think the only issues I have are regarding gameplay. The best part of the game is creating these chains + traps and using them at the perfect time. However the enemy count up so quickly that you have to burn your chains faster than you have time to set them up.

Developer(+1)

Aw, thank you a lot! We do hear that the number of enemies goes up way too fast, sadly we lacked some time to iterate on the progression design during the jam, but I would love to put some more work in it later!

Submitted(+3)

Amazing art and music, game's progression curve is very fast though

Developer

Thanks <3 The difficulty curve is a bit steep yeah, I would love to iterate on it though!

Submitted(+3)

I really like this idea, but I kind of wish it started with an easier layout. Amazing art, and I'm looking through your profiles for more

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much, it means a lot! The difficulty curve is a bit steep indeed, we might want to make it smoother, and changing the layout over time is a very nice idea!

Feel free to look, though I think it's the most polished game jam game we did as a group ^^'

Great game! The art and audio is fantastic, and the game mechanics are very interesting. I got the hang of it really quick but some advice would be to have the map be on a more open space as its pretty hard to move around, especially with the center being blocked. Otherwise, its a pretty good game.

Developer

Thank you very much! We did lack some time to test and iterate the difficulty and level design, but I would love to do it if I find the time.

Submitted(+2)

I love the art, but the game is confusing. It would be great if you added a tutorial.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, a tutorial would be nice, it's on the list of things we'd like to add in the game when we get to work on it again ^^

(+3)

Great art style and sound design. Impressive that you did most of that during the 48 hours!

I found the game quite hard, which isn't a bad thing, there's probably a lot of depth possible in the game once you get into it.

However, for me during the first couple of runs I felt pretty overwhelmed with enemies, which reduced the fun for me.

Either way - great job, very impressed

Developer

Thank you for your kind feedback! I do agree that the game's progression curve might be a bit rough, I'll definitely try to do a pass on the wave design to make it easier to face in the beginning, to get used to the gameplay. A minimal tutorial might help as well.

Submitted(+3)

Amazing art style, pretty awesome graphics. Nice work!

Developer

Thank you very much!
