In terms of presentation, this was fantastic. But I had no clue what I needed to do. The time limit doesn't help me make connections any faster and I don't want to keep replaying it over and over again. I got it right literally by just guessing.

Really unique and amazing look and feel!
Only negative is that I had a hard time understanding what I am supposed to do.
I liked waht you did with filtering the music etc aswell.
This feels like some sort of a art house game that expects alot of interpretation from the player and I like it!

I loved this one, very refreshing and clever after an endless stream of the platformers with 2 joined characters :D You nailed the dark vibe with aesthetics, exceptional music and sounds.

I finally found the chain, but I'm still not 100% if understand the system properly. I love the fact that you made an investigation game detached from any language. Got the "Reigns" vibe from all the abstract voices.

This was exceptional, hope to see more productions exploring this style from your team!

Developer

thanks so much!

I liked the general horror feeling, strenghened by many little details! The gorgeous miniature gif is a good seller! ^^

But I had difficulty to understand the system to tell who is the liar... I finally won a game by accusing random people... Oh, and some sprites are difficult to see on the dark background, maybe some sort of outline could help that.

The voice acting was on point and helped to sell the creepy aspect of the game. I could see this being expanded into a really unique point and click horror game. I was slightly confused by the mechanics but I think I understand it now. Also, I'm not sure if the culprit it randomized or not but that could help to make the game infinitely repayable.

Overall, a perfect and spine tingling atmosphere combined with a super tense scenario. Well done!

Check out my game if you get a chance!

Developer(+1)

thanks! it’s all randomized. a different person has the chain each time, and which characters are liars/honest changes each time and all their items and positions are randomized. once you have a good strategy to win you can do it really quickly every time, but it’s really hard if you don’t know the technique.

The minimalistic point & click concept is pretty fun, though not super easy to grasp from the beginning, especially with a time limit - might benefit from a tutorial with the minimal amount of information.

This was very cool. Insane aesthetics are amazing. I had some trouble understanding the mechanics, but it felt great when you started to figure out how it worked.

Great game overall, with outstanding visuals and theme.

I love this game, I wish it was longer (that's a complement :) ). The art and music are very fitting. Could have used some subtitles at the start. Very well done!

Submitted(+1)

Great visuals and story telling, its got a opening cutscene, VERY impressive for game jam game! caught the creepy vibe instantly! Great work!

Submitted(+1)

A little confusing, but the visuals, music, and sounds were really amazing. One thing I would have liked were subtitles on the intro scene, I had a hard time understanding what they were saying (unless I wasn't meant to understand what they were saying, then it's ok).

Developer

yeah adding the subtitles was in the plan but we ran out of time < / 3

The art was great! Everything worked together to give off a really creepy vibe.

Submitted(+1)

A bit confusing for me I didn't get it. kinda creepy also I even had goosebums.

Submitted(+1)

Wow, all of the assets and programming done in the 48 hours is really good, the game looks amazing and the atmosphere is brilliant, I love the intro. Good job!

I wanted to play banner photo for like 10 seconds because of it was so big and animated, then I realized I have to scroll down XD And I think I won this game without even knowing exactly what to do, I just talked to some grandma, then to the other guy and I was like "what does this big white button does???" and then I got the chain and won after two rooms, lucky me! Talking sounds are reallly similar to Hollow Knight and I really like them, they give simple conversation a bit of a feeling :D Much intriguing idea too!

Developer

That’s funny i didn’t think about the banner doing that to people. lucky you!!

Hahaha, I am curious if I wasn't the only one! XD

Really enjoyed the premise of this game. The visuals and music were fantastic - really genre appropriate and evocative of horror soundtracks in recent releases. The time limit really puts the pressure on, and I really love the abstract reasoning needed - I've not yet succeeded in finding out who has the chain, but I'll be returning to replay and (hopefully) find out!

Developer

thank you! the trick is figuring out who is telling the truth and who is lying. once you’ve worked that out, ask the truth tellers about the chain. ;)

I love this game!!! My goth teenager heart loved it even more!! Great puzzle, the time limit put a lot of interesting pressure on it! The cat is my favorite character!! Also the sound was great, the sound effects were spot on. And I enjoyed how abstract it all was! Good job!

Developer

thanks! the cat is also definitely my favourite character. they all have 16 lines of dialog, and there’s a particularly satafying “…me oew” for him that makes me laugh every time.

I really liked the game, the aesthetics and sound design are creepy which match the game. Well I really like this theme so I was really interested in it. I played a lot but didn't get the true ending yet. I'm having trouble to reason about what's happening since it is abstract. The mechanic of asking about something to different characters actually matches what we did in our game lol. I'll save the game and play it again for sure so I can get the true ending.

Developer(+1)

<3. it definitely feels very abstract until you understand the system. people always lie or always tell the truth, so as soon as you can establish who is telling the truth you can find the chain really quickly. it’s a very hard game but once you understand the trick you can win every time in like ten seconds.

Submitted

Okay, now I get it, I'll definitely get the true ending.
