How does your game fit the theme?
In the game, ants need to join forces and collaborate to help keep their colony from starving. There is a scout ant that if the link between the anthill and the food source (a tablecloth full of delicacies at the other end of the garden), and groups of ants that fuse together to travel faster once loaded with food. A spider is causing chaos on the path, so timing is key to make the crossing and come back with a full bag. If the scout ant is killed by the spider and the link (path) is decaying, you can't produce any new ants. If an ant carries a consumable by herself, she will be slowed greatly; but with other worker or heavyweight ants, speed can be mulyiplied and tactics begin to emerge (should I use slower but more bulky ants or tons of nimble workers?) The choice is yours.

beautiful and polished art and music! Gameplay wise improvable but great for a gameJam :)
It was SO nice to play something that had some polish to it. I loved the art direction and cute stylization. The fact that the game is guaranteed to only last 5 minutes was nice as sometimes jam games drag on for far too long. I loved it but honestly tho, it wasn't until around half way through I realized the connection between ants. This aspect lacked in communication to the player how they were "Connected Together". Just my meager 2 cents anyways. Thanks for your teams great submission and be proud to have such a polished project. Cheers!
Really cool art and idea. Fun to play too.
Charming art style. Some more feedback when interactions happen could go a long way.
getting the timing right for the spider was pretty hard
It's a beautiful looking game! But I was confused as to whether I could do anything else except spawn more ants?
Firstly of course your game is so beautiful your drawing are so cute and nicely animated ! ~ Do check mine and give your valueable feedback:D
Nice job on the art! It was fun to play the game, but I would've liked it more if there were many more new ants!
Thanks for your comment, and yes maybe if we had had more time :)
I really enjoyed the art, and it was a fun experience to play your game, so congrats! Too bad it was so short, I would have loved to have more levels, with a lot of new ants.
Thank you! For most of the team it was our first game, so we were a bit short on time to include more variety of ants/food/levels, but stay tuned because we might release an update after the jam ends π
Nice art and fun
Thanks for the kind words!
Ambitious idea for a jam and really polished execution
Thanks for the comment!
Great art! And here's the first and probably only time I'll get to say it, but fantastic instructions page :)
Haha glad you liked it! We were short on time and couldn't include an in-game tutorial, so the instructions page became really important π
What a delightful artstyle and idea! Gameplay is a bit confusing though (even after reading instruction (the best looking instruction I have ever read tbh :D). You should make a moment of bringing food to tree much juicier!
We'll work on integrating more animations and sounds after the voting ends π We already got more variety of consumable items in store!
Why is your game just a better version of mine? xD
You definitely score full points in presentation with the opening, the visuals in general and the detailed description, well done o.o
But can your ants fly? I dont think so!
PS: 5 people? Holy cow, thats a big team, but you can definitely see that from the pretty result :)
I think if we combine your game mechanics with our game art, we'd have a killer game π
We were a team of mostly inexperienced Unity developers along with a very talented artist, so we couldn't implement the gameplay I had envisioned, but everyone's eager to continue working on the game and polish it a bit π
Firstly of course your game is so beautiful your drawing are so cute and nicely animated ! :D
The game has good gameplay idea but I find it hard to predict when the spider will shot so we can't really anticipate the good moment to spawn a new ant and it makes us feel a little powerless.
But of course it's 48h game jam so it's already a really good work ! ;)
Thanks for the comment! Game balance is hard, so it feels now like a die & retry rather than the tower defense / puzzle inspiration we had.
For your information the spider shoots continuously at a constant speed, so its pattern can be learnt βΊοΈ
I will pass along the congratulations about the art to the artists ππ»
I love the art but the game was confusing since there were no tutorials
Thanks! We've added some more information on the game page, and working on completing it to help new players :)

I agree with the other commenters that a tutorial (or at least a rough explaination) would be helpful for beginners.
But after exploring the game a few minutes, I think I figured out the mechanics..
The visual and auditory presentation is adorable, I'm lovin it!
Love the art! I agree with the others that a tutorial would have been helpful, but I figured out the mechanics pretty quickly. Great game
A very good experiment, made in only 2 days ! Game is interesting, a tutorial would have been a + but the main mecanic is easy enough to understand. Game is challening and addictive, I liked it !
Thanks for your kind words! ππΌββοΈ
I had a few ideas on how to teach the user the game mechanics without resorting to a tutorial, but we were too short on time (or too disorganized, or too slow π. I hope to expand on the game mechanics on the game's page after a good night's sleep!
Game for some reason didn't load for me. Will check again later to try it.
It seems like itch.io is still processing the build! Will keep you posted once we're able to access the game!
It's up! π
