How does your game fit the theme?
Scrap Attack is a falling block puzzle game re-imagined as a platformer. Escape the level not by clearing blocks (the typical player role in a falling block puzzle), but by catching, stacking, and defending them against relentless enemies.

very difficult game. didn't stand a chance when one attack drone stayed high and just obliterated all my stacks I've had built thus far. :(
Appreciate the feedback. Was a tough call deciding how often the enemies should attack vs. move - will definitely take a deep look at difficulty tuning if I continue to develop this concept. Thanks for checking it out.
I'd also like to suggest making the bombs hitbox bigger - more often than not I missed the bomb but a few pixels, resulting in not only the bomb exploding, but also me hitting (and potentially destroying) the block right behind it, causing even more destruction than if I wouldn't have tried to remove it. Or make my bullets not hurt the blocks and give me a different tool to remove them. Or make it hurt the blocks less. Or... I'm sure you'll come up with something. :D
Great suggestions! Ty much :)
Quite difficult, but a game with an idea. Well done :D
Thanks for playing! Really appreciate the time and feedback :)
It's a really interesting game! The idea is cool and unique!
Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated :)
Super unique game! It would’ve been a bit more enjoyable for me if you had easier levels first, as jumping straight into the only level was quite difficult. Overall though, great job!

Thanks so much for playing! Agree that it needs a difficulty ramp - not having one was an unfortunate side effect of the time crunch, so it's definitely an area I would focus on if I continue to flesh the concept out. Your feedback is much appreciated :)
Cool idea and nice presentation. The fact that you can't grab blocks once they're on the floor makes the gameplay a bit too rigid in my opinion, but otherwise cool entry.
Thanks for playing! Good note on picking up already placed blocks - would be something to explore if I continue to flesh out this concept. Really appreciate the feedback :)
The game was really easy to understand. I understood everything even without reading the description! The controls itself, were hard to get used to for me. I really wish I could use my mouse and WASD to play.
If I were you, I would try to reimagine this game to be a little more fast paced with some tight controls to catch tricky blocks and place them down in time.
Thanks for checking it out! Will definitely tinker with the overall pacing and the control scheme if I continue to flesh it out. Appreciate the feedback :)
I enjoyed the concept, gameplay, and color scheme. The pressure given by the bomb was also great, allowing the player to manage their gameplay.
Thanks so much! Really glad you enjoyed it :)
Took a minute to understand but very cute and very enjoyable!
Thanks! Appreciate the feedback :)
Great concept with decent execution, could've been explained better but I managed to get the gist of it soon enough, solid game overal
Thanks for checking it out - the feedback is much appreciated!
Ngl I did not enjoy this game. It seems ludicrously difficult. Having to catch each and every block to ever so slowly build a staircase up whilst also dealing with those flying enemies blowing stuff up and having very little ability to fight back. It's too much. Looks good though and definitely unique.
Appreciate the feedback - I definitely struggled with the difficulty tuning, and plan to focus on improving that aspect if I continue to flesh this concept out. Thanks for checking it out.
Cool concept with good execution too! I like how intertwined the mechanics are: destroying blocks being tied to health, and throwing blocks being both for building and attacking. I like the presentation too, the contrasting colors look cool and the music is fitting. My only criticisms are that The block physics feel a bit weird, and the game is relatively short to beat. Overall, nice game!
Thanks so much for checking it out! I understand what you mean about the block physics. I tried to ensure you could place blocks in uniform columns - the easiest way I found to do that was to have you throw a block straight up when you're not moving (it spawns a new block in the column nearest to the player), which can feel a bit weird. It's definitely an area I'll try to revise if I continue to flesh it out. Really appreciate all the feedback!
The tension of building upwards while having those robots threatening to blow up your progress creates lots of excitement! Fun game, great job.
Thanks for checking it out! Much appreciated :)
Cool concept!
Thank you!
I *really* liked this one. Takes the theme of the jam and makes a game that fits it, but doesn't make it the only interesting thing about it yknow? great job!
Thank you! Really appreciate the feedback :)
That was fun but pretty tough! Great mix of object management and defending your tower while also having to diffuse bombs. It was a lot to do but not too much. Great job!
Thanks so much! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Nice concept! Was fun throwing the blocks to attack - some SFX would really make it pop!
Thanks so much :) And yes, definitely needs SFX (just ran out of time). Greatly appreciate it!
Really good idea, this could really be a nice core gameplay.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate it :)
Nice job! A new type of game I think, very creative!
Thanks for checking it out! Much appreciated.
Quite fun! A bit flat and slow, but a really cool defend-the-blocks tetris-like mashup!
I can't help but feel it would be even better using tetronimos though :}
Thanks for playing! Appreciate the feedback :)
