Neat game!
I wouldn't call this the most unique idea, but despite that, the game stays focused on what it wants to do.
The puzzles are fun to solve and the art is neat to look at too! I had some good time with this game!
Definitely an interesting concept and take on the theme. The puzzles ranged from okay to good, most of them had some interesting idea that isn't immediately obvious, though the exact counting of turns was abit finicky. The wide cast of items and enemies definitely adds to the variety of the puzzles, and there were nice interactions between the mechanics and elements, like how the squid can steal items too.
The overall vibe of the game was great! I liked the GBA style graphics and sound effects, the whole aesthetic is pretty cohesive.
Nice to see another GBA game on the jam! Played the whole game on my trusty old SP and was perfectly good fun. The mechanics are plenty intuitive and the levels are really well designed.
One very minor nitpick, maybe see about increasing the music volume in the game itself a little, might also reduce the hiss?
Very cool and challenging puzzles, and the sfx reminded me a lot of Zelda, which I loved!
Outstanding presentation! The audio crackled a little for me but I think that's an emulator issue. Mad props for making a game for retro hardware <3
I like the variety of mechanics and how many ways they are combined to make some pretty clever puzzles.
Great entry! Puzzles were cleverly designed and very enjoyable to complete. The art is nice and controls were pretty convenient despite the limited control scheme. Would be nice to have level selection screen. Otherwise, really good job :)
I didn't beat the game but I like setting up the room to accommodate the players actions instead of acting to accommodate the room. there is also a LOT of levels. the fact you can run it on a GBA is cool
This is a cool idea and a really fun game!
Dang this is a fully fledged game! How many levels did you put in??
We made 18 level :D. Thanks for playing!
Loved the idea of adding things to the level! Would be cool if we could interact with the hero's actions too, but maybe for a future development.
Yeah, we were thinking of adding something that would cause the actions to start going backwards, or up and down rather than left and right. But didn’t get round to implementing those because we had enough mechanics with what we’d made :).
Thanks for playing and giving it a go!
Very cool concept and puzzles. Playable on GBA! That's incredible! For some reason I couldn't hear the music on the web version, though.
What a gem! Until a crash caused by two squids running into each other over a spike pit, I had no intention of stopping until the end. Messing around with the editor to slowly figure out the puzzle is very enjoyable. Brilliant!
I’m sorry you encountered a crash! I’m glad you enjoyed what you managed to play! Thanks for the kind words!
Amazing little puzzle game. Very well done :)
Really really polished game! And quite a lot of interesting and diverse levels and mechanics. Cannot believe you built this in 48hrs.
We actually built a game with a somewhat similar premise of characters having predetermined motion paths, would love to know your thoughts!
This game is incredible! I can't believe you pulled off something this great in 48 hours!
I really like the idea and the execution, art style is great too! I wish it had controller support.
Really good game, the puzle design was good, and I liked the graphics too. (It's also the first GBA game I've seen be submitted to a game jam).
I beat all the levels!
Nice one!
For GBA!?!? Cool!
