Fun concept! Felt like Undertale in the moving around to avoid getting hit

Good take on the non-cooking game genre! I think each challenge had a very good difficulty curve and loved how different each step felt. Great job!

You got me, I was thinking I was so smart sticking in the corner and then I got diced haha. Felt very similar to the Super Meat Boy boss against the big guy. Felt almost like a dance

Good thing I didn't miss any cheese spots! Thanks for checking it out

Soundtrack is a banger, I just wish the tomato were a tad easier while simultaneously having more chops, and for the patties to be harder but more readable.

Really fun game! Loved the music and really unique !

Really creative idea. I'd buy this game if it was expanded in the future. Nice work!

Great job could have used a more forgiving hitbox though

Very fun! I liked trying to predict where the circles were gonna be in the burger section. I ran into a bug at the end where I couldn't move the burger. I think I had lost but it just got stuck instead? Overall fun game!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it! Very unfortunate that the burger got stuck but considering all the issues that I had with the burger dropping input, I'm not super surprised. Thanks for playing

Very fun and unique idea. I wish there is a way to tell which part of the grill would become hot.

It’s fun and the music SLAPS! I also love the concept of being the food and trying not to get cooked.

Delicious twist on the boss rush genre :P

Yeah the input dropping happens when the cursor leaves the "play area". Basically it was a hacky solution to stop the player from clipping the food out of bounds. Thanks for checking it out!

Oh this is an interesting combination of this kind of gameplay with this theme, would like to see more levels on not get cooked theme since it is a lot of fun, the music jams as well! Well done!

Fun concept. I just wish the game checked if you're moving while the knife is at one place, because it makes a bit hard to avoid the knife (maybe because I thought the objective was to not be cut by the knife and only deflect from the shadow), but it could easily be a skill problem of mine lol

Great work, and the presentation is really good.

A bunch of people thought that the shadow was the only threat, and I definitely needed to make that more clear. Thanks for checking it out!

Nice simple and appealing game , I avoided so much chopping I enjoyed.

I request you to please review my game also.

Great minds think alike! :P

The visuals and game feel are very, very nice. The visuals and music remind me a lot of Pizza Tower, which is a huge plus in my book. The game is super polished, too. You have a great core mechanic with  a lot of great animations and art to go with it.

Loved that your tomato can get chopped into multiple pieces and you have to manage all of them at once. The burger game was a fun concept, too. It was a bit hard to dodge the hazards without a mouse and insane reaction speed, so maybe a warning similar to the knife shadow could ease the learning curve a bit.

Looking forward to seeing whatever comes next!

Super glad you enjoyed it! The burger game was definitely rushed compared to the cutting board game, and could definitely use some work. Thanks for checking it out.

such a fun idea with a really good execution. Definitely lots of potential to become a full game.

Glad you enjoyed it!

I liked how the tomato splits apart each time it's cut, it made me want to keep the tomato whole for as long as I could.

It seems like when your mouse leaves the hitbox of the objects, you lose control.  Keeping track of when an object is being held, and keeping it that way even if the mouse leaves the hitbox, would make it much nicer to control.

Nice game!

Developer

Your totally right, the mouse leaving the hitbox was due to a hacky solution and your idea is much better. Time got the best of me sadly
