Great game! I really like the daylight cycle just like the real game.

Nice game and really stuck to the theme well!

Funny game! I thought I was supposed to get in the way of the dinos lol but I quickly learned... I also somehow managed to make the cactus immortal after 1000 points or so

Developer

just like cactuses in real life

haha thank you for playing!!

Hilarious idea - great tie in with the theme especially. Love the classic reinterpretation of a famous game. Nice work!!

Developer

Thank you!!

Good game, good idea, good execution, maybe a bit slow. Good job!

Developer

Yeaaaah I wish I had more time to tweak the spawn times, I was having issues with it last minute. Regardless, thank you for playing!

Wowwww, that's what an incredible idea 😂 I didn't expect to see this today, but I'm glad I did. You did really well to make it feel exactly like the OG game, but just reversed. Great job! :)

Developer(+1)

I was hoping at least one person would say this! I spent more time than I probably should have giving it the same look and feel as the original. Thank you for playing!

Really cool and simple game with a creative concept. The music is a banger!

Developer

Thank you thank you!!

Great Game! I really liked everything about the concept! I got to 504!

Yeah the Dinos were a little shy at the start but the music made the spare time better! Also I was just playing around with the jump at this point :D

So here are some things that could be fixed when you have time for it:

- the days and nights could be longer, it was a little bit straining for the eyes (choose maybe more grey tones instead of pure white/black)

- the shift between night and day was really hard to play, maybe it could help to just darken the outer edges of the screen (or make the cactus a light source) to make it harder and not completly unseeable! :D

- a highscore for how many dinos and birds you jumped on would be really cool instead of just the time :)

- uhm idk! I really enjoyed it! Great game!

And also thanks again for reviewing our game! I am glad I found yours c:

Those are good suggestions! Luckily all the sprites are transparent so I can change the backgrounds to pretty much whatever color ends up being the least eye strain-y, I almost added a "party mode" where it flipped between a bunch of brighter colors, but ran out of time. I'll definintely toy around with that after the next iteration. Thanks for trying it out and the feedback!

A party mode would also be fun! (But please dress the cactus according to a party then, with cool sunglasses or sth like that)

great concept

Simple but satisfying

Fun little game! I especially love the page design :) I noticed if I jump on the dinos too early, it counts as a hit but I think of it as a timing challenge B)

Developer

Yeaaaah there are def some collision issues but I didnt want to punish the player too much, without making a bunch of other tweaks. Im glad you enjoyed though. Thank you so much for playing!

Interesting take on the classic!

Very cute, feels nice, ultra simple and clean.  Good work!  :)

Very satisfying to bonk those dinos off the screen, got as far as 890! Nice game!

I scored 681. The game feels great to play, especially jumping on dinos! I only wish the difficulty ramped up more. Great game!

The idea was perfect. Making such a known game but in this way was very fun. Dinos took time to spawn as you said but it was still very funny to play :D Creativity 5/5.

Andbtw  if you want to play my game is down here hahah

Super fun! :D

LLLLLLOVE the idea!
I know you were concerned with bugs and lack of polish, but I didn't really have problems with those at all.
I was more confused why you have to jump on top of the dinosaurs and why you take damage when they run into you. I feel it would have fit better as a riff of the original Dino Game if you had to make the dinos run into you by jumping when they jump or standing your ground when they try to crouch under you.
However, the music was nice, the art was accurate (love how it turns to nighttime), and the effects were satisfying. Well done! Hope you had fun making it!

Developer(+1)

I feel dumb for not even considering playing the role of what the cactuses were even supposed to do in the original game hahaha

Thank you so much for the feedback!

A fun game to play and a cool idea too! I found a bug where if you double jump then land on a dino you get infinite jumps. It gets a little boring after a while, but it is still really fun! Plus the music is great! Amazing job!

Developer

Didn't find that bug until this morning before I released and hoped no one would find it. I'll consider it a feature.

I agree it wears out its welcome after the first/second playthrough, the game is really riding off the novelty.

Thank you for playing!
