How does your game fit the theme?
My game is a bowling puzzle game where you play the pin not the bowler. You see things from a pin's perspective.

Wonderful. Super happy you stuck with your sound and music designer from the last jam :D Fun, clear objective, engaging characters. No notes
Yay, happy you enjoyed it. yes the sound guy is staying permanently for jam entries i think hahaha. I honestly have a lot of fun making sounds and mixing them, I didn't know that i would, but its great fun.
Brilliant! Pinny grew on me and I sabotaged him even before I was supposed to haha. Such a sweet game, well done!
Thank you very much, Haha always good to sabotage the bowler!
really unique idea. music is a banger.
Another fellow godotter! Cool to see that you used Godot 4, I didn’t risk using it yet cause I feared it would have too much to unveil and lose time
About the game: I loved the increase in difficulty, it kept me engaged the whole time and became quite challenging at the end, really well executed. Also the plot at the end, reversed roles were reversed AGAIN, genius.
Also, something tells me you had fun making the sfx xD 10/10
Haha yeah there are def some bumpy bits in transitioning from 3.5 to 4 but I am having a blast in Godot 4 now. (that being said i still love 3.5)
I am glad the difficulty was to your liking and that you enjoyed the reversed roles reversal. I am ngl I am pretty pleased with that. and yes 100% had way too much fun making the sfx.
Thank you for the awesome review.
A cute, funny, and overall enjoyable game, with fitting art, lore?, vocals, and a great concept
Thank you very much!
Love the gameplay, and the increasingly in-depth mechanics. I also just love Pinny
Honestly I love Pinny as well, I had a ton of fun working on the story. I am so happy you enjoyed the gameplay!
This was an incredibly enjoyable experience! The story was a beautiful touch and the switch at the end made it sooo satisfying to stick it to The Bowler lol, that guy sucks! Really creative and a great story... only downside is I'm afraid I'll have the "duh duh duh duh duh duh" song stuck in my head for the rest of the day hahaha.
Thank you, I am so happy you enjoyed it. Yeah the bowler sucks is def a big thematic part of the game haha.
The puzzles were enjoyable. It was frustrating to repeat the text sometimes so a way to skip or move it on faster would be good. I did find in places that I strugged to move the pieces in time. The sound was very quiet, a volume slider or mute button would be good as well.
All in all I had a really good time playing, just a few quality of life things are needed to mke this truly great.
Wow that was great. I got hooked on the mechanic but stayed for the plot.
5/5
Thank you for the kind words! I am so happy you liked the core mechanic and the plot.
Hahaha xD Good one! I enjoyed it a lot. Especially the part when you play against your "friend". It gave it additional charm.
Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed it.
Cool game with idea and plot. I think there is some improvement there. Such as, add a button to start the game so players don't have to wait, more animations for the ball,... Cute characters.
Thank you for the feedback ! I am working on having a post jam update as soon as the games unlock.
Love characters and atmopshere of the game ! In 2 days you got enough time to create a funny game with good morale, and that's amazing. I also really appreciate the fact you added a music rather than letting a blank silent :p
Thank you so much. I am super happy that you liked the characters. haha yeah it was a real trip to make.
This one is absolutely worth playing until the end!!! The theme hits even harder about 3/4 through the game.
Loved the combination of action & puzzle mechanics - it made it so that I could solve the levels through planning OR panicked flurry of moves (which was very fun for me).
Great job, looking forward to seeing what you make next!
Ty so much for playing all the way through. It means a lot.
The premise of the game is nice and presented well. Plus, the puzzles are fun and there is enough depth to try different solutions!
This game looks like you made it while high (in the best possible way). Love the dialogue and story! One improvement would be making it so Pinny can't venture off screen, but still a really fun game!
I swear i wasn't...well maybe i was high on game jam adrenaline. I am so happy you enjoyed the dialogue and story. Haha yes I learned that in the early levels Pinny can just up and leave, but in later levels this is not possible (its super amusing to me ). Thank you for playing, and for the feedback.
Funny dialogue is always a huge plus for me!
One big feature request though is that instead of skipping to the next dialogue line, first skip to the end of the current line, so I don't have to wait for it to display and I can read the text at my own pace.
Yes the first update going out once the jam games are unlocked will be a dialogue system update! Thank you very much for playing and for the feedback.
This is a grat idea with a interesting story to teach. All put together with a art and sound design which aims to be funny and soft, very good job!
Thank you! I am glad you enjoyed it.
Very creative concept, good job!
I would have liked if I could've skipped the timer for the next shot (for example with space).
And I got stuck on the level with the arrows down the middle (created a infinite loop of the bowling ball bouncing around, but also pushed the last pin in an unrecoverable position :D)
Haha thank you. Yeah that level seems to get people. I added a restart level button, but i forgot and left it disabled in the final build haha.
Love this! The character interactions are funny and, it genuinely makes you want to help the little pin get out of this 'friendship'. Loved the ending where we get to go against the guy's commands and the gameplay is actually reversed!
I don't know if it was intentional but the way that this game incorporates the theme is two-fold. Obviously, we're playing bowling but instead of playing as the bowling ball, we're playing as the pin so it's reversed. But, on a deeper, gameplay-focused level, at the end of the game, our role is reversed AGAIN. Instead of helping the guy we're going against him. As I said before, it's a magnificent and genius take on the theme.
Thank you for the lovely review. Yes that double theme incorporation was very intentional. It was one of the few parts that was there from my earliest brainstorming notes, and is why I went with this over some of my other options. I am so happy that you enjoyed it as much as you did.
Quite an interesting concept, but the is a level I swear I tried my best but got stucked because there was so much to do in like 3 seconds, so I'm kinda sad I didn't manage to finish the story. Good game overall, and I feel for the pin
Haha it is all good. Thank you for playing the game, I greatly appreciate the feedback. I am pretty sure based on what you have said I know which level you goy stuck on. :D
