It's a platformer with a very fun concept, its execution could be even better, there were parts that I found very punishing for the player, like the part where you can't see the abyss before the camera pans forward. Since a platformer needs very fluid controls, I feel the character is very attached to the ground, look for information on how to make the fluid jump, I forgot the name, but there are many channels that talk about how to make a jump like Mario or Celeste . Having a more immersive level design would be nice, without being so empty because it can be boring and I think enemies would make that difference since you don't have to put in more difficult parts of platforming. I liked the arts and the concept could be much deeper, having a story would be good, but I don't value it so much, I even think you could put a story told through the environment, maybe just to give a context of why I I'm picking up these shiny things. The game was very well done for a Game Jam congrats and great job, keep it up!
The art and music is wonderful! I feel like the glowing platforms could be refined and further expanded upon in more complex levels that utilize each of their capabilities. For example, maybe have the falling platform be something you have to jump on to reach the end at the bottom. Good game though!
thanks! im working on more complex levels now
A very fun game with great art and music! Very nice :)
For some reason I couldn't get the character to move on the web based game. I love the art work though!
strange, ill look into it, seems to work for other people
Very interesting concept and fun little game. I like the controls and the artstyle and atmosphere are very fitting and appealing. While I like idea, I do wish it was implemented a bit differently to add more of a challenge and puzzle like feature to the game. For example, the platforms moving opposite to your direction could be reworked to moving only if the player if off of the platform and maybe make it so you can rotate the platforms as well. The game itself is really good, but these are my suggestions that I believe would add more to the game's design. Great job!
thanks for the feedback, ill take your feedback into account
Cool concept! I would add a parallax background (nothing complicated, could be just a brick tileset or something) to give a sense of motion since when there's nothing around you wonder if you are moving at all. I would also add a little bump on the left side of the reverse platforms since you can't walk off the left side, but you can on the right side? aside from that I liked it!
thanks, currently working on a background
Cool game! I love the art style and the music, and I like the moving platforms. When I was at the jumping platform, I couldn't tell if the platform was moving up or down, so maybe like an arrow showing where the platform is going could help. Great game!
thanks, ill try make it more obvious youre going up
Very lovely atmosphere in the game! I love the art and the movement feels crisp! Would love to see this expanded on in your style, I like the way the platforms move when you move, and especially the jumping ones that send you flying.
Good stuff!
thanks
really solid speedrunning game! the movement feels nice and i like the art. although, i feel like the character should have to acceleration to it since when you move, the character instantly moves to max speed. itd also be pretty cool if there was a timer that could see how long it takes you to beat the game. Great game for 48 hours though!
thanks! planning on adding a leaderboard and timer, and maybe ill add acceleration too
Very cute art. The game is interesting but could use a few more mechanics to spice things up. I was confused at some point because when we are introduced to the side to side moving platform, there is an invisible wall in the middle of the platform that stops you from going off the edge. Then in a later level, that invisible wall is instead on the very left side of the platform. So I was stuck for a while because I kept wondering why it wasn't stopping me in the middle like it did before and I didn't even try to go further to the left. Also the character controller could use some jump buffer and coyote time to make it feel even better, its already a pretty solid base. Good job overall!
thanks for the feedback, ive been told to add coyote time so much im gonna add it if i update it
Good game, the movement feels good, the art is good and the music is very good, good job with that.
The levels are a bit empity, but i understand that it's a jam game.
The only thing that i didn't like is that there's no koyote time, and i fall off some plataforms for jumping on the limit.
thanks for the feedback
This is great! I would love to see more levels after the jam!
thank you! ill add more levels if i continue working on it
Really cool artwork and upbeat music. I liked that it was a platformer mixed with little puzzles on how the platforms move, very cool. I'm not sure if anyone's pointed this out, but I did run into a bug where I fell and didn't die, might've just been me though but thought I'd share in case you wanted to fix it post jam. Very cool game though!
thank you! can you tell me what level you fell and didnt die on was?
Yes, it was the last level. It might've been because I got launched into the air by the rising platform and fell to my death.
alr
This game might have made me realized how much I missed platformers. After playing many platformer but you're the platform games, it's nice to just have a platformer. No puzzles, no extra stuff, just a platformer that uses good extra mechanics. This reminded me of Sonic the Hedgehog. There was one part where I got stuck before I realized you can run left without falling off. It threw me off because before it was in the middle of the platform, so if that could have been made clearer then that would have been nice. Nice solid base which if you decide to expand it can have more levels as well as a speedrun mode (online leaderboard or even offline leaderboard could be added as well).
thanks you, and a leaderboard is a good idea thank you
Loved the character sprite and the music, a nice polished little game! I really liked the different mechanics each platform had, though I did get stuck not sure how to advance on the levels that had the one that moves in the opposite direction you do after the initial introduction. I thought it'd be something like jump off and move back and inch it closer. I'm sure I missed something. Great work!
We might have both gotten stuck on the same part. It turns out you just run left.
thanks!
I really liked the game!
thank you
Cute game! Nice art. I found myself wishing for more levels!
thanks! im thinking about adding more in the future
Neat game! I liked the music and the cute art :)
I wish the game mechanics were explored a bit more, like rather than just using backwards moving platforms to go across gaps, maybe we could try to position some in such a way that they form a ladder we can use to get to the goal? Otherwise, good job!
ya, wish i could explore them more, maybe in the future
really nice aesthetics and music! I think there should be a bit more variety in the levels, even with all the mechanics introduced. What I mean is that I would like to see the levels get increasingly more complex as the game progresses. At first, there's one or two simple level pieces, but later on, each piece of the level is a puzzling obstacle. I see a lot of potential here!
thank you! hoping if i continue work i will add more complex levels
