Conceptually pretty clever but the gameplay might be a little bit too easy, the pixel-art is well made and I think the game has a lot of potential!

Having the ability to control multiple guards is a nice mechanic I think it would be better in a larger environment for harder levels!

This is a really cool concept. I do wish there were more levels, and the security guards would usually not go all the way where I clicked, I think it would be more fun if you could control the selected guard with WASD, but this is still really fun the way it is. Great Job!

Funny game! Can be a bit more intense and the difficulty is perhaps a little too easy but overall good job :)

I really enjoyed this, but it did feel like the answer is "cover the exits" and I wonder what you could do to make it more difficult.

I genuinely really enjoyed this. I liked the idea of reversing a stealth game but never considered making it since I didn't quite work out how to make a natural and fun game loop. So I'm glad I found your game!

The lights highlighting the agent felt surprisingly exciting, and it was cool seeing what are usually dumb guards move and react in (if I do say so myself) a quick and intelligent manner. Controls felt great, art looked great, and everything fits the theme perfectly.

On looking through the other comments, it seems you already have plenty of ideas so I'm keen to see it developed further.

I think I might continue the game, because for me the game loop was supposed to be a more intensive management, like an rts, a war against a very cunning spy

I want to answer that "why are guards so dumb in games??" with "do it yourself then"

Glad to hear it! And I totally agree. A game like this would quickly turn the tables hehe

This is really good! I love the idea, although I could just put my guards by the goals so no one could get near without being detected. Other than that this just needs more levels, new mechanics, and some polish, great job!

Could you rate my game? I would really appreciate it, thanks!

Developer(+1)

The spy was supposed to fight back a little, like taking out your guards, distracting them, placing traps, the usual thing a player would do. The basic avoidance AI took me much more time than I expected, I had to either drop the game or work with what I had, so lesson learned. Glad to see people still enjoy the idea as much as I did at least.

I'm basically rating everyone I can so don't worry about that!

Great idea, very easy and fun to play. More levels needed!!)

Fun concept! It'd be interesting to see the game more fleshed out in the future (also appreciate the game name reference!) Nice work!

Submitted(+1)

Quite an interesting concept, would love to see a more fleshed out version of this idea.

Submitted(+1)

Love the name and the game.

This was a lot of fun, I wanted more! Also really nice presentation, I love how the light actually interacts with the terrain and casts shadows.

Submitted(+1)

I really wanted more levels which must be a good sign, very satisfying and looks great. More levels with new things to spice it up would be awesome.

A very innovative take on the theme. The presentation is great too! It would be so cool to be able to set waypoints for the guards so they could patrol a loop without having to click each time. Overall a very cool game with a lot of potential. Great work!

Developer(+1)

That was planned actually, if I manage to continue the game I'll definitely add it

Got it to run, but can't do anything. Sprites don't seem to respond to clicks

Developer

Yeah I encountered that bug, web builds are inconsistent on different os, you can try the executables if you want. Can you tell me what system you're using?

Submitted(+1)

Systems tried:
 - Linux build: Clicking issues
 - Chrome : Clicking issues
 - Other browser : Would not load (seems to be a problem with the godot version)

I'd guess the issue is based on monitor resolution and the camera, and that my clicks are not actually landing on the sprites to select.

This is great! I love the concept, and would love to see it taken further!

A good idea executed very well! Also really liked the look of the game.

Lot of potential for expansion here and a lot of options for stylistic choices too! I would personally love a "!" sound when the guards spot the spy.

Developer

I really wanted to add it, but I would had to rip the original sound or make an imitation (no idea how)

In the end I only managed to add music at the last minute lol

Fun concept. The symbols on the guards really makes it feel like we’re playing the guards from other games.

Bit short even for a jam game, but really like the concept. It was fun on the last level trying to corner him with 2 guards, would love to see a longer version

Developer(+1)

I had so many ideas for the spy AI, like being able to distract the guards or knocking them out.

I'm contemplating joining the extra jam someone always makes to add those.
