wow i love the unique concept, good job on the execution as well! I'd love to see this expanded on as a full game :)

How does your game fit the theme?
Instead of playing as a hero who has to manage their inventory, you play as the inventory managing the hero!

One of the most creative ideas I've seen in this jam!
The goal was not difficult to understand, although the first few times I thought I had to drop the items in the hole to give them to the player. Maybe having a visual indication of where the hand grabs the item could help with that.
Overall what the game really lacks is some audio, but the idea and the execution of this ideas were really well made. I loved having the manage the content of the bag, I can really see this idea being expanded to a full game, great job!
Neat idea. I do wonder if it wouldn't have been simpler if you were to just use mouse interactions to arrange the items in the bag, where the items were like more complex puzzle pieces you'd have to somehow make fit or get rid of. The critter in the bag, while cute, just feels very awkward to me.
But there is definitely something to this idea as a fun twist on a dungeon crawler!
Really love the idea here and the almost ghibli-esque look of the bag sprite. The game is a bit brutally difficult though. I was never able to give an item to the character because the window of opportunity for it was so short. I think it would have helped the theme a bit more if the character would rummage in the bag a bit, makes him feel like someone with too much stuff but also give the player a more forgiving amount of time to get something there. Overall though, really cool idea and a great take on the theme!
Thanks for playing and for the comment! Yes, the controls and feedback definitely didn't get the love we wanted to give it.
If you want to try again, my advice would be to move straight up while holding the required item and have the sprite stuck against the top of the bag. Then wait until the hero is a few steps away from the beam of light to drop the item and move to the side or back down (the item doesn't actually drop until you move off of the place you dropped it). The item will slowly fall, but it takes a few seconds for it to fall out of the top two rows (this is the area where the hero's hand can pick up items).
Like it a lot. I don't know how to give the player his stuff. GG! I like the art!
Thanks for trying to play! Glad you like the art!
You give the hero the item by dropping it in the top two rows (and middle 3 columns) just before the hero will grab for it, which is marked by the beam of light. You need to move off the square after pressing drop for the item to actually drop. Sorry it’s all very unclear!
Nice concept, and great art.
For me it was hard to control the "bag spirit" :)
Really cool idea, but its really hard to controll, and often is feels as it you miss items you shouldv'e picked up. I think it'd work better if it only moved when you gave the input, instead of automatically would've worked a lot better. Though i will say the presentation is really well made
Once it 'clicked', it was actually quite fun to play! And a really nice design to fit the theme, great work!
Fresh take on the theme :).
Really liked the idea and lovely sprites. Played the game on a keyboard but felt that the grid movement was a bit hard to control precisely, but eventually got the hang of it.
Great idea. The game itself took a while to get used to, especially the movement, but I had fun playing!
Art and concept are great, and the gameplay is decent. Input queuing would have been nice for a better game feel, if you ever expand on the idea I'd suggest implementing that.
Great work!
Such an interesting concept, took a bit to get the hang of the controls but I loved how it felt in the end!
