This is great. What a cool game. Fun, cool concept, great art style, and the music is awesome. Excellent job!
This game is Top Notch, great job!
Great art, very fun :)
I do not know why i am throwing bards, but i love it.
The gameplay is fun. Maybe a little frustrating but fun overall.
And the art is simply beautifull, love the bards on the border of the screen and love that the music change when you collect instruments. Great job and congratulations! :)
Hey yo! Well, the graphics and animations are top-notch, I love this style. The gameplay is fun, though it might feel a bit imprecise at times. Overall, it's a great game! Below.
I'm reporting a bug where I got stuck between the bell labeled "2" and the towers. I had to close and reopen the game.
Thank you so much for playing. We are aware of the bug, but wasn't able to fix it in time for jam submission.
Wow this is a slick little package. Well done to the team!
The dynamically building music is an excellent match to the difficulty progression. I kept going less for the game and more to just see what the next layer of instrumentation was going to be. I think my favorite had to be the 4th with that funky jazz gnome. Can I get a version that's just 5 of him please?
The game play felt a little too fluid and wobbly. But that's probably me just being bad at these types of game. I got a little frustrated not being able to fullscreen, because I kept clicking out of the window onto my taskbar. Some of the button/switch combos felt a little rude, too. Not seeing one and having to backtrack and then re-tread didn't feel great. But it's quick enough.
Unfortunately, in the 3rd section, I got shunted under a pinball bumper and got stuck. No reset or way to unstuck, I was forced to refresh and lose my progress. I couldn't bring myself to replay all that just because it's not quite my thing. But at least I didn't have to witness your end-credits bug that you warned of!
Overall, great job! I hope lots of eyes get to see this, because it's a really pretty and stylish jam game!
Thank you so much for playing. I'm really sorry you got shunted under a pinball bumper. It might look pretty, but it's still a jam game, so there's a bit of jank and lack of QOL features (like the ability to pause lol). We intend on uploading a more refined version of the game once the voting period is over. We really hope you give it a shot at that time and make it to the end. :)
This game was super fun and stylish. I love the little fiddler visibly playing! It's adorable, and the entire game's aesthetic is well thought out and lovely to look at.
The mechanics were pretty intuitive to learn and pick up, and immediately made my rocket jump, movement FPS brain happy (even though this kinda game isn't my norm!). Great work on this, everyone - I love this.
We are so happy to hear that! The kinds words are very much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed it!
Impressively polished for the short timeframe of the jam! Well done!
The art and music are really well polished! The controls were a bit lacking, but I still had fun playing the game!
Good god y'all. I played the test version of course, but your submission is absolutely outstanding. I was like 'oh, why aren't the other ones playing too' and then I got the drums. Had to get the full band at that point. Brilliantly done.
Thank you, Jason! Appreciate you more than you know
This game is INTENSE! Amazing art, fun mechanic, great music, super polished!
Thanks! Happy to hear you enjoyed it!
I rated the game high, specially on style (music and graphics are excellent!). However, I didn't have a controller handy and I suffered a bit with the controls: because the character moves relatively to the center of the screen, but the direction is mouse controlled, it is hard to keep it aimed as the player character moves over the screen. I am sure it feels much better with a controller (I know you mention this on the description, but mentioning it because of the Jam rules).
Also I would like to see a fast restart key.
Otherwise, top quality!
I'm happy to hear you rated it well! Thanks for playing! I'll check out yours in a bit!
Wow, gameplay felt so good, nice job!
Thanks for playing!
This game is well made, levels are fun, concept is cool with this theme, art and animation are astonishing for a game jam, music fits well. Great job team!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Very polished and fun game. The art is amazing. The mechanics seem simple at first glance, but the gameplay gains more depth as additional mechanics are introduced. I encountered a bug that caused the game to freeze, but it's still one of the best games I've played in this game jam.
Thanks for playing, and thank you for all the kind feedback! This crash actually happens right at the end of the game, the only thing you're missing is a cool credits sequence 😂 we can't figure out why it's happening though 🫠
very good overall. don't have any complains
This is very fun, i love the art style and adaptive music. Lots of great ideas in the game.
Thank you! The artist and composer 100% killed it!
Super cool concept and very polished! Nice physics :) Felt really nice playing it!
Great execution of a simple concept with an amazing art style. Well done.
Y'all, this is so good. The little bards are so charming, and I love how the song builds up over the course of the game. Really really good stuff. I played with mouse, but it's probably better on a control stick - I was clicking a little frantically trying to throw my bards in the right direction.
I bet there's more stuff you could do with changing your size! It was never too much of an issue to make myself small enough to fit through the smaller gaps.
Thank you, somnule! In earlier builds, the size was a lot more important, but playtest feedback was that the game was too difficult, and so we toned it down a lot so people could at least have a fun time playing it. You're right, it's definitely easier with a controller (and a lot more difficult with a trackpad 😅).
