This game was definitely a breath of fresh air, something that you could really just chill out with, calmly sit down and rage with your friends.

Developer

the perfect way to play!! thank you so much for checking us out <3

This game makes me frustrated and makes me want to have fun!

Developer

Best of both worlds!! Thank you so much for playing!!

This game is very beautiful! In sound and in 2D art at all! Congrats!

I just don't get the mechanic. I had a bit of difficult. Maybe more explanation or just a tutorial?

(This game should be very good to play in mobiles too!)

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We tried to hone the art and sound on this one <3 As for mechanics, we did add a small tutorial but if you mash through it, it can be missed. We want to make it clearer to players in our next patch. As for mobile, we noticed right after how perfect a mobile-compatible version would be, so we're open to exploring that avenue and adding it as an option. :D

Incredible art direction! Super cool!

Thank you so much for playing!!!

That was clever and charming! The concept and setting is cute, creepy, and engaging, and the gameplay is satisfying. It felt great slamming into the earth and creating chaos.

Playing it was fun; actually winning was unpleasant. I find the difficulty completely inscrutable; I actually downloaded the windows build to make sure I wasn't getting weird web errors.

I rarely ask to be spoon-fed information, but I had no clue how health works. There were several times when I died when I thought I had only been hit twice, making me wonder where I actually lost all that health. I was also never sure how much damage each specific tower actually dealt. I'm not necessarily suggesting a literal health bar, just more specific feedback on damage and health.

Volume settings are appreciated, but the default audio volume is a tiny smidgen loud; later parts sometimes peak above +0.0 dB.

All-in-all, good work!

Developer(+2)

Yes based on other player feedback we are gonna work on balancing the game more for player enjoyment while also trying to maintain the challenge. Visual clarity is one of the main things we're aiming to fix along with projectile speed, damage, and visual pollution. We did originally intend for the monster to shrink in size when hit, but the gameplay became more tedious than we expected, so we often for a "die upon hit route" while using debris as shields. As for volume that's a fix we are doing! Hopefully, we'll be able to get this patch out as soon as gmtk ends! All in all, thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!!

Was very unclear until I saw that you need to eat what rises.
Hitboxes are very strange, random stuff keeps hitting and killing me with no way to dodge.
Sounds are disturbingly good, but can't fully appreciate it cause of gameplay

Developer(+1)

Our sound design team just uploaded the OST to YouTube for all to enjoy if you're interested!  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLy5W_ZwiAd8N67_Raw_7WNmgSjIMwtn5a  !!
There was a tutorial at the beginning, but after discussing and getting feedback it seems to be easily missable. We're gonna address all these issues and more in a patch after the jam ends. Hopefully, we can balance gameplay to make the game more enjoyable and feel as immersive as possible. Thank you so much for the feedback!!

Very cool concept. Nice art. It get's kind of buggy if you start smashing and don't move at all but it's very minor. I loved the waves.

Developer

Thank you so much! We're definitely gonna iron out some bugs in a patch coming after GMTK so please stay tuned. Our coders we're very proud of those waves!!

Submitted(+5)

Incredible aesthetics and concept! Such an awesome vibe! Runs a little choppy though, and game overs tend to feel a little random. Info for the game-over condition (hp/lifes) would be nice

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! We wanted to capture the eerie vibe while also keeping it simple. In a patch, we're gonna focus on addressing player enjoyment, balancing gameplay, and overall making things visually more clear and direct for players. Once again though thank you so much for the feedback and for checking us out !! :D

Submitted(+5)

Cool concept! i think this could be expanded to be very fun, it just needs a little more feedback and more ways to dodge attacks
Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! We had a lot of fun working on this, so a patch based on player feedback is coming as soon as GMTK ends <3

damm that a really nice game you made :D simple but really well executed. nicely done

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing!!

really loved the style! think the movement could feel a little smoother for a bullet hell but very fun regardless

Developer(+2)

Thank you! There is definitely a challenge with the limited movement options but i'm glad you liked it!!

Submitted(+5)

an amazingly well polished game. really love the artstyle and sound design. the difficulty could be made a little easier. i found myself dying within a minute every run. but the polish of everything, like the slams creating huge waves of water, were also really a good touch.

Developer(+2)

Thank you!!! we learned a LOT from previous jams when it comes to polish so game feel was most important!

Really awesome game! Concept was beautifully executed. I love that the slam is an attack, defense, and dodge all in one.

Developer(+4)

Thank you so much!! we tried to make it as SIMPLE as possible when it comes to mechanics! Glad you noticed it!

Submitted(+6)

It's fun I like how you can dodge rockets.

Developer(+4)

Thank you!

Submitted(+6)

I was a bit confused on my health system but even then one of the best games I've played so far this jam!

Developer(+5)

Okay okay we;ve had a few questions about this so here goes:
In order to grow, you need to pick up debris, the number of debris you need to get gets higher for each growth. The debris ALSO act as a shield, so if you get hit, the debris go first. If you are out of debris (because they got blasted or you just grew) you only have 1 hp!

Submitted(+4)

Ah that makes sense thanks for the explanation! Still enjoyed the game :)

Submitted(+6)

Love the simplicity but also  really well detailed which is hard to do. Keep up the good work!

Developer(+3)

Thank you so much for playing!!

Fantastic game. The art was amazing, and the idea is really unique. Well done.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing!

There are so many different great things about this game. Orbiting and destroying a planet is a pretty novel idea, but your artist made it look phenomenal. The sound design and story gave it a nice creepy atmosphere. Growing and transforming the "moon" is fun. The double use of the slam as a way to gather resources and dodge attacks is really smart. I couldn't always figure out why I died, but all of the above had me coming back to play again. Great jam game.

Developer(+3)

Aaa thank you so much!! Our musicians popped off and we artists did our best to match their vibe. Programmers went through so many iterations to perfect the wave mechanic so we're glad people are vibing with it. Completely understand about attacks though, and we do plan to make a patch once GMTK ends. Glad you enjoyed the game!! <3
