Great execution! I think the only real thing I would like to see is a trail behind your shot that stays around for the next shot. It was a bit hard to fine-tune shots without it
Great game! I felt so good when I got the first 3 holes on my first try haha. Would love to see this expanded upon.
Doesn't capture anything that makes real-life golf fun, there's a lot of waiting and the whole point of the game is just to be precise with your inputs without any creativity. Plain unfun.
I'm a sucker for mini golf games and this hits. I did find the success windows a bit too tight as the stages progressed so perhaps there is a way to tip things in the player's favour if you were given the time again.
cool game but as others said it could use more levels but otherwise a simple fun experience
The combination of the space aesthetic with the music makes for a really good, relaxing game ! Well done
Pretty alright lil game, though I'd appreciate if the ball held its position when you held down left click so you could line up shots with moving stuff better. Would be cool to see this more fleshed out!
Really difficult but I guess that's the point; I do wish that the first few levels were slightly easier though. That said it was really satisfying to finally land the shot. Nice submission!
Well done for achieving an orbit, that's super cool! It's an idea I toyed with at the start. I wanted players to have to take more than 1 shot to reach the black hole by first being captured by another planet midway. I knew achieving that for the player would require WAAAY too much precision, so I intended to have the physics cheat a bit and have the moon enter orbit when it was "close enough". However after a while of trying to design and implement this feature I decided to scrap it because it seemed to be overscoping for the Jam. To be honest with the jam over I think I can think of a pretty simple way to achieve that now. I intend to continue development on this game so it may be something I add, if it turns out to be fun. At the very least having an achievement or something for achieving a stable orbit would be cool. Also a big fan of KSP, as you might be able to tell.
I don't think it will work, because you need to gain speed or loose speed to achive a stable orbit, which means you need a way to affect the moon's speed only one time, and then do not affect it anymore. In third level you can do this by affecting moon's speed once at the start.
A while ago I made a prototype similar to your game, where you need to build you rocket and fly it to the finish while being affected by gravity from planets(kinda like "Bad piggies" and "Angry birds Space" mashup), real life gravity formula do not work well, even KSP uses the "sphere of influence", so cheating with gravity was essential.
Also I can help you with the visuals if you want to release your game(I have some skills in pixel art)
Quite short but I love the concept and I had a lot of fun !!
I feel like the precision for the first few levels is too tight. But the game plays smoothly and the music helps with the focus.
Very fun! Similar vibes for our two games with the orbital mechanics. You must be a KSP fan as well, yeah?
