Charming idea, good execution with decent art and music. 4/5 for your struggle. 🎁👏

Managed to get the camera stuck in a spot where I can't see any further up xd
Very nice and polished game, even though it is really simple I feel like there's potential if you add more gameplay mechanics, maybe something like that nokia tower building game where you had to drop the block on top of the tower.
Good job!
Very nice art and music. It fits the theme well. Some strategy would make the gameplay interesting. Maybe let the player choose where they build the tower, build multiple towers, allow them to extend the wooden platforms and introduce different weapons as you get higher. Overall really well done, lots of potential for interesting weapons!
Nice music, art style and a solid implementation, the game only start to loose some fps when the screen is completely filled with enemies.
I only wish there were more decision making, I've always spend my money right away and the monsters never reached the tower. Maybe some durability so the player would have to keep an eye and change the balistas from time to time or another type of weapon that is better against a certain monster.
But at this point i'm only nitpickying, it's a solid entry anyway :)
Cool game and feels fairly polished, it's a bit repetitive getting to max height but aye, the game feels clean and the art is nice, good job!
It looks simple but I enjoy it a lot. I hope there are more levels!
Neat style, but i wish there was more strategising involved. Might be a fun idea for a clicker game though!
Yeah, we do have similar game names :D
The game concept is simple and elegant. I like the idea of tower defense but what you are defending is the tower itself. I had the same problem of working on systems for a long time and then not having enough content. It's a shame. If only we had like a week :P
Overall it's a pretty game with some neat ideas. I wonder if you plan on adding more towers after the jam block lifts?
Fun game, simple gameplay loop but enjoyable, You can easily extend the game with multiple weapons and enemy types
Even though you said in the description its gameplay lacking I had a ton of fun and enjoyed it still. Thats very good considering its only one turret and building right now. The music and sfx make it pretty addicting as well. This has some crazy potential I hope you finish it. Amazing work!
Really cool game . You should turn this into a mobile game ! it has great potential .
Hey! First off, just wanted to say thanks for the description of what you did/did not have time for, it was really helpful context for how to judge the game. We also spent most of our time on art and systems and didn't have much time for the content.
But man, your systems look goooooood. The game looks, sounds, and feels great. The turrets shoot intelligently, no bugs to speak of (at least that I noticed). That's a really strong foundation for additional work, if you choose to keep going on it. I hope you're very proud of yourself.
Thank you for the kind words! This game alone is actually such a huge achievement for me. If you don't mind me talking about myself a bit pridefully (I'm just really excited about this success). Rather than making a game with the goal of learning like usual, I wanted to use this jam as a chance to prove the skills that I already know and I ended up exceeding my expectations by a landslide. This is not only my best game in terms of quality by far, but it also had the shortest development time of 36 hours within the span of 3 days (not counting ideation on first day), which is so good that it doesn't even make sense. I didn't even know I had it in me to work so hard on a game so skillfully, but everything came together almost perfectly. Additionally I made a good change of plans for when I realized I wouldn't have time for gameplay content (at the beginning of day 3 I didn't even have enemies or turret code), and I ended up pulling everything together so it could at least be an enjoyable experience without the tower defense strategy.
And to top it all of I'm getting so much positive feedback from people who say that they really like the idea and would like to see it expanded upon! I'm incredibly proud of myself and would never have thought I could make something that catches people's eyes anytime soon. I'll definitely be expanding on the game, but it might come slow since I've got college starting soon. I'm worried about what direction I'll take it in terms of gameplay and balancing, but I'm sure I'll figure something out.
