Scratch for GMTK is crazzyyy (i was gonna do the same last year)
Nice game! :D
Thanks a lot!
The chickens taste better when they are rolled!
facts.
What exactly is the purpose of eating at all? You can avoid the big chickens very easily even on hard mode…
I guess you're just a bit more skilled than me at the game. I agree the game could be balanced a lot better, but I lose pretty fast as the smallest chicken... The smaller you are, the faster you lose your lifes
Fun jam entry for sure! Super tricky to strike the right balance even on Medium. Awesome artwork, and the music works well too - nice job! :)
the art for this blew me away! And the transition looked really clean!
I love the application of theme! Especially with the headliner to explain that every chicken is built to scale irl. Reminds me of duck life in a good throwback way. It's a bit difficult on easy to stay in one position from the chicken nuggets T_T Otherwise, I love the art style and game idea a lot :D
Very cute art style! I found even the easy mode tough, probably because of the other chickens' AI being constantly a bit too aggressive, but I understand that balancing this requires a bunch of time and this is a 4-day jam. Regardless, very clever idea!
I don't know how to explain this, but the whole game itself looks like chicken and I love it. ♥
What a fun little game! I enjoyed the challenge of trying to place second, although it always jump-scared me when two big chickens would fly from off-screen to jump on me lol. Great work!
This was a fun little game. The implementation of the theme was hilarious . Of course I didn't read the description and got killed on my first playthrough. I loved the style and who wouldn't want to be a chicken?
It's a very interesting idea. If it could be played by two or even more people, it might be even more enjoyable.
Good idea of not being the largest chicken to survive. Very hilarious haha. It'll be great to be built as a party game with a little polish on movement control and mechanism. For now, Just don't eat anything and run for your life!
Very stylish! Really like the art style and overall vibe, and the gameplay is deceptively simple - I found myself ramming smaller or larger chickens out of the way even more than visiting the trough myself. A fun play, great work.
Great job!! love the theme, chickens, and art. The chicken is a little difficult to control and the music is quite loud. But was super fun to play
nice choice of the color palette on this one!
Fun arcade-like experience!
The mechanics and concept is solid enough that I can see a fleshed out version of this being a popular game :)
Thanks a lot!
Great and interesting experience! This can be a super fun party game or pvp game on steam. The issue is that I can not tell which chicken I am. Will be better if there's an arrow or a differe color.
I settled on a color palette with only 5 colors, so it was pretty hard to get the enemies to look different. I agree that some clarification would be good. Thanks for the feedback!
HAHAH this game is so silly I love it!! Took me a bit to figure out which chicken I'm playing as once we all started feeding. In a way I like how arcade-styled and short the gameplay is, and it's also very original in mechanics from what I've seen :) The art style and color template also really adds to the game. Oh, and one more thing-- the music!!! Woah, it really felt like a boss battle when I survived til night... it got so intense as the farmer called us chickens back in. Felt like I was ready for the slaughter. Anyways, great job on the game and finishing early as a solo dev :)
Thank you so much for your nice words! This means a ton to me.
I really liked the transition effect between screens and the colour palette (:
Thank you!
The pixel art looks pretty good! I didn't fully understand the gameplay though.
