How does your game fit the theme?
Our game explores deep sea gigantism and how deep sea marine life is at a bigger scale than that closer to the water surface. This theme is reinforced in the visuals of the game with the depth meter on the side.

I've had this game on my radar for a while, and really wanted to play/rate it, and I'm so glad I got to before the jam ended. This game is incredible, especially so for game jam standards. A full OST, beautiful visuals and likable characters, and a literal ocean worth of content to explore. Great job!
The visuals and idea are amazing. With more fish entries this could possibly become a full fledged game :)
This game is incredible! As others have said, it feels like it could be a full game. Aside from the bugs that are noted on the game page, everything I saw was really polished and I have no complaints. Excellent work!
Awesome game! Things are really polished, I loved the art, and it's fun to discover an assortment of fish and their dialogue.
I didn't realize there was a bug with the bobbit worm and was about to try to scan it for the third time before seeing it in the known bugs, I think it may be good to make that a bit more visible in the page. Trying to scan it was fun and the first time seeing it was definitely a little terrifying 😂
Also, I like the cat
This feels like a full game that you could buy! And that I would want to buy! Great job!
Great job! The polish is impressive for a four-day jam. The gameplay is solid as well; I would like to see more frequent upgrades and be able to track how much fish I am actively scanning are worth.
Overall, not many complaints though, phenomenal submission!
Thanks for playing! A better upgrade tree was in the works but unfortunately had to be cut due to the jams deadline. We found that a fully functional but simple set of upgrades was better than an unfinished, broken, and jumbled mess of additional abilities and stat changes. If we move into a full release I’m sure we’ll introduce a wider variety of modifications and improvements for the sub. The fish values were a problem to display on the programming end but I’m not qualified to speak on it myself unfortunately. Thank you for offering up your ideas and comments! It helps us know what to focus on moving forward.
Absolutely beautiful art and music, love how many parallax layers you added to the background. The characters are so full of warmth too! I had a great time balancing risk and reward deciding when to descend further or return home. A small bit of feedback: the radar UI should blip red dots timed when the little rotating scan reaches them (okay, I have no idea if this is based in reality, but that's how everyone imagines radars work, right? haha)
Thanks so much for the game (:
A big game! Good art style and chilling atmosphere. Hope there will be an extended version in the future!
Damn, scope of this game is absolutely crazy. The game is so big, chill original music, artstyle looks very nice, there is even voice acting. It's also really polished. Job well done guys.
We may or may not have overworked ourselves. The polish is most likely from the time we had to run some quick playtests! The before and after for the play testing might've looked super similar but so many of our quality of life changes came out of getting some player opinions before submission!
Thank you for playing!
We actually overscoped by quite a bit and ended up cutting a lot of content - but still pleasantly surprised that people found the game very polished! One of our biggest focuses for this year was polish, so we treated it as a 2 day jam and used the rest of the time to polish and panic fix things lol.
Thanks so much for the kind words, glad you enjoyed it!!
Treating it like a 2 day jam still resulted in 3 days of implementing features and mechanics (whats overscoping??😗). Fortunately art was done earlier than the programming so the artists could largely take a break. Next year we’ll try and have programming match the pace of the artists so that we can do bigger and better things without the same amount of crunch
insanely polished for 96 hours, goddamn! looks great, plays great, absolutely knocked it out of the park! also managed to do the theme in a way i haven't seen!
