Love the presentation (art, music, sfx), the characters.

I felt the controls and speed of the game was a bit slow for my taste, but really good use of the theme. Awesome work!

Fun twist on breakout - paddle was a little too fast for me, but i liked how unforgiving the game is. high level of polish nice job!

This game makes me feel bad for a paddle lol. Graphically amazing, not too challenging, just a simple Brick Breaker game with a twist, but that's the brilliance. For next features, I suggest a way to hold Shift -> slow the paddle movement, and add a few blocks that rain boosters down to players (like 1-3 immunities from the big ball).

Cool graphic design, nice take on the classic, well done !

super cute game! I like how some of the blocks can only be broken by a bigger ball, forcing some thinking.

Very cute. I like the music! Something glitched near the end of one of the levels where the ball kept growing no matter how many hearts I threw at it, but it wouldn't break the paddle. That's the power of love I suppose?

I wish I could aim the hearts at the ball better, having them shoot straight up from the middle of the paddle makes it really tough to hit the ball at certain angles.

This was so delightful that my heart melted. Excellent work creating a cute game with a very interesting gameplay loop. The game is simple and elegant in its premise. I was very impressed!

My only suggestion would be to have an option for players who missed the hearts so they don't lose. I know the mechanics are solid but there is an exact frame of time that you realize you are gonna lose and there is nothing you can do because the hearts are on cooldown. Perhaps the exact center of the wooden block could be made of metal so you have a last chance? I am nitpicking tho

good job on your entry!! :)

Thank you for taking the time to play this game. Interesting inputs on the center of the wooden block, we might think about that in our idea for future updates. Glad you enjoyed our little game! :)

The art is so amazing! Love the expression of the characters and how simple yet effective the concept is!

This is a cool twist on a classic (i really like the ball size controll)

Love the art.

the control for the padle are a bit too fast though

This game is pretty boring honestly. I don't really see the point of an arcade game (if it is one) without a score system or an health system. At level 4 I managed to get the ball stuck between two clouds and softlocked myself.

Developer

Thank you for taking time to play the game! It's actually meant to be a cozy game, but score system would be a really good addition for next updates. :)

The design is super, super cute! I had a great time playing. :) I did notice a bug where the ball follows the paddle when moving to the next stage.

Thank you for reviewing, glad you enjoyed our game as well! :)

Very cute graphics and nice sounds too! Felt the paddle was a too fast and a bit hard to control though. The distance from the paddle to the blocks felt quite close too. sometimes it would bounce back with no time to shoot the paddle. Would be nice if there was a combo for how long the player stayed up there?

Still, a fun minigame with an interesting take on the theme!

The level of creativity that this game has is just amazing. The way you used the theme and implemented it with such a great art and concept is just amazing.

Be sure to check mine :)

Really cute game and a nice twist on the formula. Only gripe I have is that the  paddle was way too sensitive. Really nice work though!

very cute game with nice graphics and sound effect

would be better if the paddle also can be scaled by some upgrades

Submitted

Super cute and polished game, could do with some special blocks with upgrades or something, but even in its current state it's a great game.

A nice twist on an iconic game. The artwork is incredible, and the gameplay is extremely polished. The game makes me feel bad letting the paddle get hurt... anyways... great job!

First of all, this is a tough little game! I loved how low-stakes it was and let you restart from where you left. The resizing also made me realise something I hadn't thought of with breakout: it's way easier to redirect with a bigger ball.

Thanks for the game!

This is a very well-polished game! Everything felt smooth, and I enjoyed the combo of moving the paddle and shooting the ball. Great work :)

That was a nice twist on the paddleboard formula. The volume was a tad loud, but I did like the music.
