I couldn't finish it cause I get too annoyed with theses types of game, but I really like the idea and I think it fits the theme rather well!
It was hard enough to almost make me scream and wake the floks!! But I do think that isn't a bad thing...
Played here live!!
I seem to agree with the comments on the great weight to belly ratio XD, and the speed being a bit lower but I did want to add that this would also help if it applied to the jump time, as in how long it take for you to go from having started the jump to back down, because that felt a bit too fast to control. Also had a good bit of difficulty holding shift, up, (left/ right) and jump for the climbing section and sometimes due to there being a restriction on some keyboard on the number of inputs, it meant not all of my inputs would register. So I wonder if it would still be as fun and difficult if you removed the need to press up to stay on the wall while climbing, instead having it so you fall only when you run out of stamina, like in celeste?
It's just an idea ofcourse, I think the game is great! Nice work on the art, music and the concept! :))
I really like the idea of a weight mechanic as a risk/reward, but I would've liked it more if it was more visual than just a ticker in the top-left. Other than that just a grate rager, nice job :D
There's 3 different sets of sprites for "chubbyness"! They happen when you get to 150 and 250, but the first one is pretty subtle.
I like the idea a lot, but got very frustrated with the sensibility of the movement >.<
The weight mechanic is pretty clever !
I feel like the music was taunting me. A better man than me would hav endured the rage and got to the end. I am not that man.
Nice rage platformer! I especially like the mechanic of being able to decide how many burgers to eat, it turns every pickup into a risk-reward dilemma which makes the game feel original and interesting. I would've liked a bit less horizontal speed, but all in all good work!
This is cute, I like the idea. The first time his belly expanded out it got a hefty giggle from me. I think the knight moves a little too fast, and I noticed elsewhere that you say it but I just wanted to affirm a bit more for you, I think that coyote time would help out here a lot. There were several jumps I had issues with that just a moment of coyote time would make it seamless. Great work! Keep it up!
I'm not good at games with no checkpoints. But I enjoyed my time with this cute game. I'd like the knight to get a bit more chubby as they gain weight
He actually does! There's 3 different sets of sprites for "chubbyness"
The movement is a bit rough, but its a nice little game. I'd recommend maybe tuning down the speed a bit.
The movement was so fast and unforgiving it kinda made the game feel even better. I liked how some of the food had a risk-reward thing going on. I'm like "hell no, not gonna take that detour or I'm sure to fall" lol.
It's a very fun, quaint little game, although the movement did feel a little frustrating and unforgiving.
I like the weight -> score risk/reward, but the move speed makes it really hard for me to control.
Yeah, if I had more time I would've tweaked all of that some more and added some features like coyote time, but sadly I didn't have a lot of time this jam. Thank you for playing!
