Nice game, cool aesthetic, love the dialogue and tone, however losing all of your inventory when dying is annoying, especially when there are checkpoints, and a prompt when you need to press Z would help, got a bit stuck with the dialogue and respawning, but I liked it overall.
Really like the aesthetics, but I might be too bird brained to get the scales just right. I like how hidden paths are part of the mainline game, rather than something completely obscure.
Squank! Squank. Squank squank.

Love this game, it's so cute, and the bird images fit so well. Getting constantly pranked by the digging and scale weight, just for it to... well, you get the point, it was great fun! Squank!!

SUPER cute sprites and animation! Bit confused about what to do, but absolutely loved the vibes of the game and sound effects :)

the dialog and portraits are the cherry on the cake.
The atmosphere is very interesting. I like it.
When moving through the locations often the camera remains in the previous one and you have to go back and re-enter the location.

CROWS!!!! I LOVE THE BIRDS AND THE DIALOGUE, V CUTE!!

It's a really fun idea and very nice artwork. The controls were a bit difficult for me and I wasn't completely sure what to do with the stuff I found (could I have used things?) but I liked the story and the humor of the dialogue.
ah, so the idea with the “using the items” dialogue is that crows actually use tools irl - it’s a little jab where the crow was flexing on the seagull. I thought it would at least get people to open the inventory and discover that you can discard items. Thanks for playing, and we appreciate your feedback. Squank! 🖤
OMG of course! I mean it did achieve that effect for me so good job! I love that and I am low-key embarrassed I didn't get it before. Squank!
The scale was a bit confusing but I really enjoyed the game around it and apparently I didn't even need to go through it to get an ending! Great style!
Thanks for playing it through to the end. Squank! 🖤
Loved the humor and visuals!

Immaculate vibe between the artstyle, cute character, and sounds. I did feel a bit frustrated with what felt like unintended consequences - I lost some items when I died and wasn't sure if that was intended, as the spots in the world were gone - but otherwise very charming. Nicely done!
Yes, the permanent item loss is intentional. There are some secret treasure rooms with dozens of shiny spots, but you have to think outside the box a bit to find them.
We’re glad you enjoyed the vibe, thanks for playing and for your valuable feedback. Squank! 🖤
It is really a great game with a good sense of humor and nice art, also it fits the theme well.
However, the controls are an issue. Can you avoid using Z and X? My hands don't fit on the keyboard like that.
Really cool atmosphere and premise! I don't mind how punishing it is but I wish there was an explanation of how the scale resets. I was confused why it was resetting at first and then thought it happened when you use up your inventory, although now i get its every five items but it took a lot of trial and error. Would be awesome to see this expanded in the future though and you could definitely lean into the mystery/easter egg aspect!
so beautiful art! every frame is a painting!

ADORABLE! Thank you for inviting me to the party, glad it had a happy ending. I fully understand the cutting of corners, so it would’ve been fun to have the ‘have you even tried using any of those items’ dialogue come to fruition. Consuming, say, a fire-immunity potion at the cost of losing the item would have been an exciting gameplay loop. Loved the art, loved the charm, found the controls a little too close-together for my slow fingers but otherwise a promising and whimsical entry, congrats!

I really like the style and premise! I was confused at the start because the descending musical tone that played wherever I dug (even on shinies) made me think I was doing something wrong but it wasn't until I relentlessly pecked at a shiny spot and accidentally did a "hold" press that it clicked for me. Aside from that, it was nice lil adventure and I particularly enjoyed the dialogue and sound. Squank...

Fantastic visual style!!! I died with a full really heavy inventory :( I think I'll have to come back and se if I can beat it. Fantastic job all around, every design choice feels really cohesive!

The art style is great! I love the graphics.
I saw some glitches at transitions between levels, and also in the inventory, you need to hold to delete items, but if you hold just a bit too long you can delete two items at once.
Also, I wasn't too sure whether I was supposed to come back to the scale to drop items when my inventory got full, or discard some items and keep progressing to new areas.
Love the art and the premise. Ran into a bug where I could not proceed after speaking with a crow though.
thanks for your comment. you can press Z to move to the next line of dialogue. if you were playing with WASD + space, perhaps hitting space didn't work. an oversight on my part. i'll edit our game description to reflect this. thanks for playing!
also how is this "built to scale?" it has a dragon and a scale in it, none of it matters for gameplay or even story though
