Very fun, very complete little game! You've done a good job of creating a quick refresh, run-based game where I fail fast and try again almost instantly. That can be hard to get right, but you've made it really fun. The movement could use some tuning here and there, because I kept getting stuck and it took a while to figure out how to get unstuck, but overall it's very playable and responsive. Nice work!
A really nice game idea, and love the music !
You should try to implement some coyote time (be able to jump a fraction of time after falling from the edge) on the jump and some input buffering (be able to press jump earlier and handle the jump when available)
Other than that would love to see more levels, good job :)
Nice little game. I enjoyed the simple concept, it fits well with the theme. The game looks nice too. Good job!
Pretty fun game overall, but I think there's a bug in which you can't jump when you're in contact with a wall.
Such a simple concept but it works really. I appreciate the chill soundtrack, too.
Very fun concept, the game speed is a bit fast for me tho.
Short but fun experience!
Good fun, each level does a good job of teaching you the mechanics and stays short enough that it feels possible with a few restarts, really nice balance! The music and sound are chill and work together well. Nice work!
The midi sound font, simplistic visuals and precise jumps remind me of the flash games that could distract me from work for an entire class period in the school computer lab. You've got a formula for fun here and I'd be interested in seeing if this concept could be applied to an infinite runner sort of game. I don't have much new to add to the conversation, but I agree with the general consensus that the camera could use to be zoomed out a smidge. A minor adjustment would make the game feel more fair without compromising the difficulty and removing the satisfaction of the eventual perfect run. Also, running into a wall and having to manually reset the level is a hard fail state disguised as a soft fail state, if that makes sense. I'm fine with only having one chance to jump over a hurdle, but I'd suggest adding some spikes or something to the side of those hurdles to make it clear that they're hazardous. Making contact with the spikes would naturally end the run and prompt a restart- bonus points if you add in some of that signature flash game gore. Great work to everyone involved, I hope you continue to develop this concept and explore its potential!
Cool idea! Would have loved some more levels but I like what's there.
very cute game. it felt satisfying and intuitive to play. i like the van halen reference!
Hey, nice idea and fun while it lasts, great job!
I second the idea that the dangers came up a bit quick, maybe zoom out a bit? The physics can be a bit janky where at times I couldn't jump because I was stuck up against something I would have been able to jump over. Nits though, nice game!
I finished all three levels. :)
Loved the concept. It gave me sonic vibes for some reason.
Neat concept, I recommend for a game like this to add some background graphics to kind of 'hint' to the player what they may have to do next or throw some coins in a path a la kaizo mario so they naturally head for the right direction. Or zoom out - but you want to give them a fighting chance. Nice work! :D
nice game, kinda reminds me of the game 'bounce' for the nokia phone... also u might want to consider adding jump buffering, to make the jumping feel smoother (˶˃⤙˂˶)
You're the second person to make that comparison haha. Jump buffering is a good suggestion. Thanks for playing!
Short and sweet game. Would be nice if there were more levels!
Umm…I beat this in one minute, so I’m a bit confused, but I’m pretty sure this was good! The levels where well designed and the size changing mechanic was fun. The visuals are not the best, but I can’t really say they’re bad. Pretty good work nonetheless!
Nice game! Good platformer. I would advise adding reset button, beause I have to restart all game to restart level but it's not critical. Great job!
There's a reset level option in the pause menu, but its not a bad idea to bind it to a button. Thanks for playing!
Oh, sorry, I didn't see this option
Frantic fast-paced gameplay! I think this is a great concept and would love to see it explored further, with more mechanics relating the different ball sizes. Had a rollin’ time!
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Enjoyed it a lot, it's bit weird when the ball hits a wall, and sometimes there is a delay when trying to jump again right after landing, but the overall games feels pretty good to play and well designed.
