How does your game fit the theme?
You control a group of small mice, gathering cheese in a large food court. Over the course of the game, the cheese you collect grows your Throne of cheese. As your throne grows, you expand your domain to cover more of the food court, eventually ascending to "Cheese God" status.

Loved the concept and theme! Mice management is such a fun idea, would have loved to see it more fleshed out!

Good artstyle and decent game, but took me too long to figure out what to do

Love the art! The mechanic where each mice has their preferred cheese choice is a great touch. Though I wished I could be more interactive with my mice army since it was mainly just watching them do their thing after the opening.

Loved the art style and vibe and theme of all of it! I love the personality the mice get as they get more items and it has a solid gameplay loop, although I pretty much sped through the whole thing because I wanted it to go faster, but I'm glad that was at least an option!

I loved it!

It reminded me so much of flash games of yore. I would totally spend an afternoon playing something like this with passion in my eyes.

The art style is great, really concise and consistent—I loved the little mouse 'cards' that appear when you select one of your mice.

It took me a minute to figure out how I would achieve the goal since I was so enthralled by how well everything worked and behaved. The fact that you guys locked the other areas and revealed them once you reach a higher level on your throne was a nice touch in helping the players out.

Hope you guys are really proud of your work!

What a lovely comment! I'm glad it gave you those nostalgic vibes, I have fond memories of those old school flash games as well.

You game is also wonderful! I did a few 'speedruns' of it after getting used to it and it was super fun.

This is so cute and I like the unique perspective of the game. Top-down view works well with the game style, too.

Maybe this is just me but it kept lagging/getting stuck on my machine. Really well done regardless!

Love the art style, and the music too! The gameplay is great but I did have some difficulty sometimes selecting a mouse or figuring out where a mouse was going. I also didn't realize until near the end that each mouse could have multiple powerups, which definitely shifted the balance of the game, but I had fun!

Really original idea, and super cute art/music. It was fun ordering my mice and watching them go.

Super cute art and music/sfx! Really well done for such a short jam, I could see this game being taken even further after the jam if you wish!

This game is beautiful to look at! I struggled a little to know how to command my mice, but once I got the hang of it I had a good time. Good job!

Strategy games (even simple ones) are notoriously hard to make, since there's a lot of stuff you need to code & take care of. The game looks polished, it plays well and has a cute theme to top it off.

One thing that was a bit weird to me is that new cheese is spawned (to make sure that there always is some cheese to collect) immediately after picking something. At first I was like: "did that mozzarella just teleported across the kitchen for no reason?", but that is a small nitpick in a really cool game.

Really nice graphics and I liked that there was a speed up button :) simple gameplay but it worked well

A fellow cheese game! Love the artstyle! I'm impressed with how well the mice AI was implemented in the short amount of time. Unfortunately, after the first night I don't think I could move anymore. Otherwise, the concept is really cool!

Developer

Thank you so much! There was definitely more tweaks to the AI we couldn't fit in among other things, but I'm definitely proud of it! As for the issue, time is paused at the beginning of each night, not just the first one, so that might have been it.

Submitted

Ohh right completely forgot about that lol I'll go back and play it!

Funny game, love the mouse mouse pointer

Squeak squeak cheese game!

Really cool game. Maybe a little simple, as I often felt like I barely needed to do much.

Developer

Thanks for the honest feedback! I actually agree, there's not a lot of pressure to change your orders or be particularly efficient. In an improved version of this, that's the first thing I would focus on.

Really nice visuals and sound design. It does take sometime to understand what to do though.

Yeeeeey I won the game !! Long live cheese ! The game was very fun congrats !

And they said it wasn't easy being cheesy...

The game is very polished and it looks and sounds great too. It's a bit difficult to understand at the beginning what you're meant to do because of the large amount of text but overall really good game!

Developer

Appreciate it and glad you enjoyed! Didn't have enough time for a proper tutorial unfortunately, so had to settle for the text.
