The concept with the time gambling is really interesting and a nice take on the scaling. Well done!

Cool time based mechanic.

Ah I wish I could stay with her for longer. The gambling mechanics are so clever and the conversations are very interesting, too. Amazing work!

Amazing game, reminds me of high stakes anime gambling. The visuals are also really polished and deliver the atmosphere, together with the music, perfectly.

5/5 game

Really cool game! I don't really have criticism for this game I really like it. Good job!

wow so cool. Could not get to an ending, though, to a bit but I was so it to the story it kept me going.

Very nice, kekgurui inspiration ? What seemed simple at start quickly turned challenging, when the dialog happens i wasn’t able to see the board, was it intended ?

Developer

Yes it is. Alice-Sama wants you to look at her. ^^

Very captivating game! The rules changing with every victory caught me off-guard, and what started out as a simple card game scaled up into a very intense battle of risk vs. reward and strategy. The atmosphere of the game also felt pretty tense with the environment (especially the lighting), the music, and of course, the writing of Alice-sama. Color me impressed!

LOVE the concept and approach. The motif of hearts being in the card and the stealing of "your heart" is really good writing. Also just reminded me of Alice in Borderland. :D

Very cool game! Big fan of simple rules that are easy to pick up but still allow for thought and strategy. And the ramp of introducing new elements I think was well done.

The music and the room make me think the PC, after learning they only had 1 year to live, went to the club to distract themself and then this demon bunny girl coerced them into a back closet to gamble for their life.

As far as the overall atmosphere of the game, the narrative seemed to be going for a somewhat ominous tone, but the music as is seemed to undercut that a bit.

Very clean & simple mechanics. Easy to learn and strategize for. It generally felt like it was done being interesting before too many rounds went by, but thus goes the constraints of game jam dev.

The visuals were really good too!

cool card game!

I was having chills when she was saying that she would not jumpscare me. Great and really clever game!

The randomness was fun and I felt like the game length was a perfect amount of time! I liked how Alice-sama chipped in every now and then also. Just Alice...... just alice....

Second comment

As per what Alice says at the end in base64:
"VGhlIGFkdmFudGFnZSBvZiBoYXZpbmcgc3
BpcMloIGV5ZXMgaXMgdGhhdCB5b3Ugd29u
J3QgYmUgYWZyYWlkIG9mIGFuZ2VscyB3aX

"The advantage of having spipÉh [?] eyes is that you won't be afraid of angels with lots of eyes anymore."
What does it mean??

Oh and again, well done! Fun game.

Why did the game end? Alice is forever
Okay joking aside this was amazing. Having the actual gameplay be the card game whilst having Alice deliver the story inscryption style is a great idea. The slowly ticking clock on your lifespan also adds to the pressure (even though after testing, I'm pretty sure it's impossible to die since Alice is a generous observer). I have nothing to suggest, just give me more Alice. Aside from that, if you have the time, I'd also appreciate if you took a look at my game <3

Poor Alice just wants some company and maybe a few human organs; I'll be sure to bring some trinkets and books for her next time.

Silly gameplay suggestions, if ya care:
- The total amount of time is a bit too condensed, visually, which makes it a bit hard to read it at a glance - If there were some distance between the numbers and/or a lil label, would be nice.
- Removing or adding a field (like day, hour) between rounds when she adds extra rules could spice things up - or two fields affect the result of another
- This is more thematic, but the times where she most speaks about hearts, would be interesting to see the following round to only have the card suit's be heart
- Or, more practical, the heart suit cards could have more value then other cards
- The time going even during the dialog is very nice for thematic tension, but if the idea were to pressure more the player with it, then making a time skip between rounds would add even more pressure. The dialog takes seconds, losing the round has it's own timely consequence, but then a time skip? That's some interesting difficulty scaling (ba dum tzz)

Thank you for suggestions, they are very helpful.

I don’t understand the second part. what is “two fields affect the result of another”?

Submitted(+1)

Currently the fields end being [seconds vs seconds] or [hours vs minutes] with each betting one card from their side; A functional variation could be two spots for the same value (like minutes) against 1 of her spot;
Would look something like [minutes minutes vs hours] or even [days vs seconds weeks]

I imagine it would take more work to adjust something like that, but it's an idea. Hope to have explained myself better

Creepy woman but a nice and forgivable game!
Life span increased!

Incredible entry :)

I only wish I had spirit eyes so I could see when Alice has put an Ace in the week slot
