Made it all the way to threat level 20! That was so much fun! Had a real Mortal Engines vibe which I really liked. The progression felt very good although I mainly focused on my speed and so was never strong enough to kill anything before I died. This is my number 1 game of the Jam I'd like to see expanded upon into a full game. 5/5/5!
extremely polished game had so much fun ramming my car city into massive forests and crystal creatures
only managed to get to threat level 7 with this strat tho lmao
Mortal Engines meets vampire survivors, really cool!
Really stylish game! The concept too was nicely executed! Good work!
VERY cool game, sound and visuals!
Unfortunately, my game crashed when I lost
Cool game! Love to build my own auto with guns)
great game idea, love this game so much!
This is really good! Super fun and satisfying. Plz keep working on this I wanna play more!
I can't see any replay button once I die so I had to restart the game. I also think we should collect the parts more quickly because standing still to pick anything up is gonna end up badly. Apart from that, it was a super polished and exciting experience!
I LOVE DRIVING THE CAR!!! AND THE GIRL!!! ALSO THE TITLE SCREEN IS SO HIGH SCOPE???? LOVE THIS ONE!!!
Some of the most fun I've had out of all the games here! Aside for the lack of a restart button(which would have been nice to have rather than reloading the tab), everything just feels so, so polished and satisfying to play! So much juicieness in this one, which is something I feel a lot of other games I played were missing. Very well done game, and one of the best I've played yet!
Incredible entry -- it feels really satisfying to play, and it looks and sounds absolutely wonderful. One of my favorites by far. The download version is definitely the way to go for a smooth experience. Congratulations on a job well done!
omg wow this was so much fun! I accidentally played this 20 minutes over my lunch lol
Really nice sprite stacking and so much juice!
This is definitely fives across the board! Amazing job!
Wow really well made! Really curious how you pulled off the tank sprite.
Hey, thank you! We used a method called sprite stacking, where you layer multiple 2d sprites on top of each other with a slight offset. It gives this weirdly convincing and cute 3d effect. So the car sprite actually looks like this (the first one is the shadow):
We then used an outline shader on the whole stack to enhance the feel of it being just a single sprite. And of course the whole thing had to scale, so the sprite was designed to work with 9-slice scaling (that's why there's no detail in the middle or on the sides).
We also made the buildings and guns with this method, and I really love how the whole thing turned out! I highly recommend checking out sprite stacking if you are interested.
Thank you! That's a really cool way to do it. Will definitely have to look into that and give it a try
Wow, very fun game. I enjoyed it a lot.
Hard to control, but a great play nonetheless! Immaculate art and polish in general. Definitely didn't click for hot mechanic lady ofc...
Beautiful game with very addicting gameplay. This needs to be a full game!
This is great and I would play this more - the car city feels great to move around and mow through enemies and the city building is thoughtful and fun .
The art, music and effects are all great quality and it surprised me how cool the building system actually was.
great Job!
I would absolutely like to see this expanded into a full game
A very fun to play
