Nice work! Good luck <3

The art is really lovely and cute, but the gameplay feels kinda slow. 🎨

Really liked the art, grabbing multiple rewards makes you miss the first one grabbed, and as others said the game feels a little too slow for my taste, nonetheless, GREAT entry!

The art style is amazing. Really like the music and the sound effects. Also, the gameplay is so fun. I had to stop for a bit and think before arranging my items into the grids.

Submitted

Maybe the game need to be a little faster because the end-game is really fun with all the turrets! Nice arts too!

Submitted

I actually found this really addicting, if only it played a little faster, or actually maybe a fair bit faster it would be great!

I love the art style and the moving castle concept!  Could use some tuning and balancing.  For me the game starts a little too slow for how fun it gets later.  Nice work!

this is such a cool game and right up my alley. i loved the charm of the handdrawn sprites.

but the pacing is so slow, i really wanted to give it a chance and reloaded the page so many times after dying, but rebuilding every time was to frustrating after all.

other than this is a cute game!

Very interesting idea just a bit slow to begin with

The artstyle and vibe is so charming! I agree with other reviewers that the slow movement speed was frustrating, I wonder if a similar type of game/effect could be achieved if the hippo was moving at a constant slow speed (e.g. not player controlled)? But pretty fun and feels satisfying in the way of a reverse tower defense game. Very fun!

The "scale up" as in, accumulating weapons part was pretty satisfying. Seeing the firepower increase each time made me want to keep playing. Though I do think the walking being slow ends up being a bit frustrating, more in the sense that it's just a long while of waiting without really any active player interaction. But otherwise, overall it's a fun game loop and I spent way more time than I thought playing this haha

Amazing idea :) Pacing felt a bit slow but that seems like a part of the experience of being a desert hippo haha I love the idea of a moving tower defence like this because usually it is the other way around, great job c:

this was really fun!! i made it to the third area before coming to write a rating haha

had 10 turret bases on.  i felt like there was a lot of backtracking (walking backwards to avoid enemies, and then back forwards to progress) that felt unsatisfying but being able to stack up weapons and upgrades made for a great gameplay loop.  nice work!

The concept is good, but needs a bit of balancing.

Same as SpaceC, even with the UI i didn't know how to shot but the background and visual is on point !

It took me a while to figure out how to shoot? I liked the art style, it was like a story book!

Awesome and unique art style andreally nice color palette!Nice and fun gameplay loop! Awesome job!

IMA FIRE MA LAZAR!!!

Fun concept, though I do wish there was a bit more player interaction — either more movement to make kiting enemies more interesting or trying to make readjusting your setup mid-combat more of a strategy.

Well done, always love it when I can play a game where a weaponized animal can go on a war path to pursue love 💙

Very cute idea! Movement speed feels a little slow but I really enjoyed your main mechanic and had fun building my little hippo.
