Simple and fun, I really enjoyed it! It would be nice to put a piece back down if I decide to place a different piece next, as opposed to restarting the level. I love the "extension"/"growth" mechanic. Maybe some sort of ghost image to display where the tiles will be after they grow could be nice.
You can click on another shape to select a different one and put back the old one. I think adding a ghost image to display the growth is a really good idea! I might add that sometime after the Jam is over. Thanks for playing!
Took me a few levels to figure out what was going on but once I got it it was really fun figuring these out!
Thank you for playing!
Ooh this was not easy at all. The difficulty scaling can be even harder to get right, but when you get what to do, it feels really good! I’d say try to smoothen the intro and everything else will fall into place!
Thanks for playing and thank you for your feedback!
great idea! the tutorial could use a little more help. but great job on the numbers of levels!
Thank you!
Cool concept, difficult to grasp, though.
Sometimes, the result conflicts with my anticipation, so I became stuck quickly.
Thank you for playing!
Great game ! I would prefer that we can deposit the piece if we click on its spot, because sometimes i pick the wrong one and need to restart the level to free my hand. However you have done a good job, keep up the good work :)
You can actually click on another piece to select that one instead but I didn’t mention that in the tutorial… Thank you!
Absolute brain scratcher. Great Job!
Thank you!
Polished game with a really clever and simple mechanic! I almost made it through without hints, though that last level gave me a headache ^^
I also really like the style and the relaxing music. The amount of levels is impressive. I feel like you could have done even more with the scaling mechanic, like levels where you need to use only part of the size change. A tile only expands until it gets blocked so for example your tiles scale by 3 steps, but you need to scale one of them only by 2 (it happened once but looking at the hint afterwards I didn't use your solution).
Thank you for playing! It’s quite impressive that you almost made it without hints. I tried to write the exact scale amount to make it a little easier (don’t know if that helped) but yes, I could make levels were tiles do not fully grow. :) Also I had some help for creating the levels.
I tend to be stubborn about doing things like this without help, and it took a while ^^
Having the exact amount definitely helped a lot. If you were to change that, the levels would have to be easier otherwise, for example with fewer shapes. I just thought it would add some more depth to the game, but it's already great the way it is.
Hey, look at that! I made basically the same game! Well, not quite. I think your approach is really unique. It reminds me of Tetris with the "Next block" screen, but instead it modifies the playing field, kind of like a power up. To be honest, it was quite hard to wrap my head around this concept and even though I also made a puzzle game, I didn't get past "caped-man" (Love that you gave the levels names!), the second non-tutorial level in the game.
Definitely a cool concept, and a REALLY well polished game!
Yes, I agree. Thank you for playing. For “caped-man” the second block is the ‘L’ turned upside down in the upper right corner if you want to continue playing… It will get even more difficult though :D
The first thing i have to say is "How the hell did you do that many levels", the second one is "it's so much polished" Thanks for that submission, very cool !
Thank you so much! I had some help for the levels :D
I'm terrible at these sorts of games.... i couldn't get past the first non tutorial level haha
really polished visuals tho
Yeah, I guess it's not that easy... Thanks for giving it a try though! :D
The puzzles were all really good. I liked that I could use a hint if I needed it. A lot of the time I was able to get pretty close on my first placement but needed to fiddle around to get the right sequence. I had a lot of fun playing.
Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!
One of the best puzzles I've seen here!
Thanks for playing!
Great puzzle game and a unique take on the theme. Style is very clean and the music fits well. You even have quite a bit of content. Very nicely done!
Thanks a lot!
Fun puzzle! Had lots of fun
Thank you for playing!
Very polished art style and game! Fun twist on the classic tetris, and a creative use of the theme. The scaling definitely made the game more challenging, but also a lot more exciting and enjoyable!
Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed it!
I very much enjoyed this one. I agree that the tutorial was maybe a little difficult to parse, but I didn't have too much trouble and I appreciated how levels layered on and combined different mechanics. It's a really neat puzzle game with some solid design and excellent visuals + attention to detail (the blocks building the scene transition is sweet). Great work, thanks for submitting - will come back later and see if I can beat the other levels!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it!
Great game, but there should be a better discription how does it work.
Thanks for playing! Yes, I really should have made a better tutorial.
Fun gameplay and very well thought out puzzles - I really had to think! The art and audio work well together to create a nice relaxing vibe too :) Great game!
Thank you for playing!
High quality game, will play again!
Thank you!
