really cute design and atmosphere ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )
Goddamn was that Cthulhu at the end? Very cool game
You're the first to point it out, well done :D
I liked how vibrant the colors of this game were, and the changing scale as you got larger and larger from being eaten was interesting. It was kind of jarring when things were scripted to happen, though.
Love the colors of this game! Super pretty and fun to look, great job!
Nice idea to suit the theme, two fold! The art style is very nice and cohesive throughout. The sounds and music helped to make it more immersive. Good job :D
Thank you!
Wow what an experience, I played right through to the end :) Beautiful artwork and audio, I really felt immersed in the journey of the fish and felt curious and explorative. Really magical :) Thanks for making this!
Thank you for playing!
lots of style in this one. i would have kept going if i coudl have figured out how i broke the rocks with the whale the first time. i couldnt do it again, and pressing E didnt do anything for the whale...
Thanks for your comment :)
About the second rocks wall, if you enter the current on the left you can get enough speed to break it. And there is a cave below you that leads to the middle of that current. :)
Wow that game has such a wonderful and artistic sense of scale. Music and animations were both beautiful and mysterious. Thank you for a fun emotional short game!
Ty! Really happy how the game turned out :D Composing the music was a real pleasure!
Is a fun and short game! I love the music, it’s absolutely great. And I didn’t expect the ending to be like that. Nice work!
It is always a pleasure to know that my music (and our work) was a good experience!
Nice plot twist at the end!
It is refreshing to play a narrative experience on a jam, was cool!
This is a really great game! Love the concept, love the art, and weirdly enough, I got real chills at the ending!
Maybe there could be more deliberate switching of the fish from the player? What I mean is that currently, when I get eaten it's intended. But what if it's more of a puzzle game, where I need to deliberately decide by whom I want to get eaten to then unlock the fish's ability. Speaking of the abilities: I'd love to see more of them! I think it's safe to say that it would be really interesting to see the abilities of more fish and where you take this concept in the future, if you decide to continue working the game. Great job!
Tje 2D style of the fishes are super cool !! Love that ! The gameplay is fresh and original using the sea, that was cool to play !
Really appreciate cinematics and narrative in short jams like this, a shame there wasn't more of the open-ended level design seen in the beginning, but still was a solid playthrough, good job!
It's counter intuitive to let yourself be eaten first, but it's a nice journey. Not too much of a challenge, but I can see how with some beautiful graphics this could become a whole experience! Great job for a game jam game! :)
Nice little game, good job! The art is nice, the controls are good, and I like how new mechanics are introduced constantly.
Ah the famous words of Qui-Gon Jinn in full effect here lol.
Love the ambient gameplay, not too often a jam game puts an emphasis on narrative than gameplay but it totally works here. Sequel bait at the end was also great.
Wow, this game captured my attention all the way to the end. I really loved how the music evolved with the different fishes.
The music and graphics have some master strokes here and there. The concept and mechanics are not super original, but they do have some novelty, like being eaten or the speed boost + wall breaking of the whale.
If I were to improve something, I guess I would try to add more narrative/lore in the map, like the rocks with the runes, to make exploring more interesting. (it’s possible I missed some of the existing easter eggs).
Nice execution, very solid submission.
Great game, and interesting premise, the art looked great. Well Done!
A nice game. Well done. Lots of exploration and tricks to get past certain places. Will there be a sequel to “Red Eyes”?
