The polish on the game is incredible the shooting and fighting is very polished Well Done!!!! :D
Juicy one! i just wanted to have triple MG all the time cuz it felt amazing.. kinda didn't see the theme that strong.. but it was a fun addictive one.
Keep goin, good jooob :3
The screenshake is a bit heavy at times, but overall great job on making a juicy, Vlambeer-style game. It took me a while to understand that I have to collect the dice in order to increase the score though. May not be the most creative game ever, but it's certainly well-made and entertained me quite a bit!
Very fun and addictive game! Also beautiful artstyle, great job!
Thanks!
Very polished game, would love more content! Feels very nice to play. The dice theme doesn't seem to influence the gameplay very much would be my only criticism. (edit: I'm blind and didn't notice the score)
When I got the triple shot gun I just stopped picking up dice. Maybe when the player dashrolls that could switch their weapon, then the dice pickups could incrementally add more sides to the player character that increase the weapon pool with better weapons.Still super fun game to play, and it looks awesome with tons of juice, would love an extended version!well if you dont pick up dice you dont get points! this is a high score game
Ohh I didn't notice the score, cool!
yeah i will work on making it more obvious what is your goal in the game
I had fun playing it! It needs a bit of challenge and music and that's a perfect banger for short sessions!
Very juicy and arcady. Had fun. Just the sound effects get a bit annoying over time
Realy fun game! got to 13 points, love the fact that if you want a point you have to risk getting worse weapon. The game is very juicy, maybe a little to much screen shake. Great Job!
Usually in games like this I'm reluctant to ever change weapons so being forced to do so in order to score points was a really big plus for me lol. The shooting and killing all felt great (though the screenshake could be a *bit* much at times) and the controls were smooth and responsive. More weapon variety would have been nice but for a jam the amount you have is perfectly good. Great work!
I really liked the art and gameplay! Only real complaint I have is the screen shake is pretty intense but beyond that I really enjoyed playing this. Besides that, this is great!
I really like the gameplay and art style of this game. Kinda reminds me of enter the gungeon. The guns are fun to use (especially the triple machine gun) and the sfx are satisfying. Good job! I'd love to see more content.
Wow, dude, you have no idea how much I love this type of games. The shooting and feedback effects are super satisfying, and I love the aesthetics. I've always wanted to make a game in this style, but I haven't had the chance yet. absolutely great game!
I was wondering what engine you used to make it. Is it Godot?
Yes, i made it in godot! glad you liked it
Very fine entry, i can definitely feel the Vlambeer inspiration in this (this is a good thing). Right now i feel like it's missing something important though: it needs more tension.
If i compare this to Super Crate Box (which i assume is kind of what you were going for), it lacks the high tension of that game where you could make a single mistake and lose at a moments notice. Right now the enemies are visible from far away and unable to catch-up or ambush you. Without that tension it makes the game feel a little mindless (and when the dice spawns out of sight, i sometimes forget it even exists).
My first thought to alleviate this would be to make the game take place in tight corridors and add something like a fog-of-war effect (if you've played Nuclear Throne, think of the labs levels: dark, tight, and with lots of weak enemies). Don't take that as instructions though, i'm not a game design whiz. Think about it and try some experiments, that's best way.
I feel like i'm being too harsh on this game though, so i just want to point out that this game feels wonderfully crunchy to play. The graphics, sfx and heavy screenshake all feel really good together. I'll be sticking around for what you do next :)
the actions starts at 15 points ;) this is when all 3 spawners are enabled ( meaning enemies spawn faster after being killed), normal zombie spawn timer is at 1s and also kamikaze zombies are there :D i wanted to make first few moments easier than planned to make it accesible to everyone. And yes, it was hugely inspired by Vlambeer cuz they are my favourite indie games studio. also im gonna fix some of the issues in the update after jam ends (dice spawn visibility, screenshake tweaks etc) but also add new weapons and enemies
I love everything in this game besides a camera shaking! it is too harsh!
The rest of the game is really nice - I love it!
Great Job!
Nice, pretty, chunky wave shooter. I love how juicy this game is. Too juicy when using machinegun, but top notch in other places. Great entry.
The game looks pretty clean. The screenshake was a bit distracting for me when I was using the machineguns, but the other weapons felt really good to use!
Such a polished game! I appreciate how you were inspired by Vlambeer to create a polished game like this, and I definitely enjoyed playing it! I wish there was more audio-wise, but it still was a good experience. A steeper difficulty curve I think would fit the game better considering it is a game jam game, but the game overall stands out really well!
Solid entry, good job!
Thanks!
Fun game :) the game feel was very nice as well, very Vlambeer-esque
The gun play in this is top notch! kind of wish things got a little harder faster. But other then that it was a really fun experience! good job
Fast paced, nuanced shooter experience.
Shooting makes you run slower, counter this with rolling, which is at a cooldown and cannot control the roll distance.
Different weapons have their trade-offs, but even the pistol has a merit: its slow shooting speed lets you hold the trigger without too much movement speed drawbacks.
Very polished shooter, but has a major drawback that hinders its enjoyment: the screen is too small to see enemies from below, and the charging-exploding enemy is too for a pistol with average aim.
I wanted to enjoy the game longer, but the difficulty curve kept me trying for 3 playthroughs, with play time shorter than what i would have hoped.
At this high pace, i would have liked to have an indicator of where the next dice is (as it minimizes my time with the low roll, and idk, does it double as a level up item?) Perhaps buff the pistol by making the roll lethal when holding the pistol. The power drop is too real to stay in.
Thanks for feedback!
