You have to roll a dice at the end of a level. Once you roll it, you will be taken to a randomly selected level. It's random every time, too.

Nice and creative little platformer.  I played through it twice.  I noticed that the level count changed each time, so maybe there are more levels to discover?  I liked the idea of the code level it was interesting to platform around what I assume was the code of the very game I was playing.

Developer

Thanks! :D Yea after every level, you roll a dice that will take you to a randomly selected level, one of them being the end of the game, which is your house. And yep, the code level was the code i did for the enemies :)

Sweet platformer, the first level I played was super hard so I reloaded the game lol. I really liked the mono behaviour level theme, super creative! Nice work on creating so much variation, but I felt the attack ability was really under developed and quite redundant, I'd recommend in the future spending more time developing those core mechanics instead of adding so much level variation, other than that, really refreshing take on the theme!

really cute! I love the animation on the janitor, and it's funny how quickly you can just roll into the end of the game

That was a cool game! I especially liked the art style for the janitor :) I think the hitboxes on the enemies could be smaller, as it currently feels a little unfair as is. Also, adding some music and sound effects would help.

This is a nice game!

I love how its got a bit of story and I like the art, one small issue though when the enemys move and rotate backwards mabye dont make the ui rotate too as it goes backwards aswell.

Apart from that awesome game!

I really like the premise of your game! The gameplay is really nice and I love the artstyle! Well done!

The art was really fun! yet the lack of music did make it just a tad eerie I loved the game though and the thought was really creative i feel like had the enemy's been a one hit instead of how hard they were or if the player also had health this game could be really fun. loved the background though!

Did a complete pacifist playthrough. I love the (literal) developer art, found it funny that the comment didn't have collision.

In the end I'm not sure the random level mechanic adds too much, I did get to three different levels at first, but then I had to replay levels which feels less fun.

It might have been cool if there was more to find in the levels than the dice that would help you progress.  Sturdier brooms perhaps? Or some way to get a different experience in repeated levels.

Some bug-related notes:

  • The code level was a bit frustrating the first few times because you can't see where you will drop to. So if you're unlucky with the timing you drop onto an enemy. Or if you don't know the level you drop into the void. :)
  • In the "future" level there's this "inside" part where you can jump upwards. However, you seem to bump your head into the ceiling trying to jump up there, so you end up jumping really low. It might be that the collider is a bit taller than the actual sprite. Coyote time could have helped here, too. For jams it can be nice to base your player controller on an existing platformer controller that has these nice features (and this is very much allowed!). Gives you more time to focus on the jam-related elements and polish :)

This was fun! i really liked the  style of the game, however the difficulty was a little too high for me with the harsh punishments for death. The level design and the art behind that looked amazing! Really well put together, a few tweaks and this would be a great platformer

Really nice graphism! And the random level is a good idea, great job!

the pig kept killing me, nice art work!

This was a really good game! my favourite level, wher i was in the code of the game. That was super creative.

Yeah, combats are not "hard", but the absence of any health system is, the game is unforgiving. I'm a bit unsure about the "roll of the dice" thing since randomly selected levels will feel like "the normal level route" for us. But it controls quite nicely and the art is cute :)

I like how the whole thing felt rather trippy, the code platforms were pretty amusing. The game looked really cool. My bit of feedback is that the combat is absolutely brutal so i dodged fighting where ever possible which was in itself a very fun way to play the game. I think with some sound and polish you would have a very good game. Good work.

Ah, I hope there was some music and sound in the game. Do not hesitate to use certain assets to overcome these stuff in the game jams since they enhance the gameplay experience!

Other than that, the combat was a bit harsh, and I could not progress a lot even though I have tried several times.

Nevertheless, good job on your entry!

nice game!

Liked the pixel art and graphics, pity there was no sound -- at least not for me. I think the enemies have too much HP. Low level I should just be able to swipe at them once to kill, maybe twice. They also keep on charging at you so when you attack you get hit. Also not a fan of 1 hit deaths.

The Idea and execution are hilarious my first level was just code and I had to defend against Mice which was funny! I feel like maybe you should have more health but other then that it was great!

I really like the concept and the art, however, combat is a little bit hard (IMO). the isn't merciful at all :D

So it took a lot of attempts before I was able to kill anyone but that's really addictive!
