Simple but effective concept. The only issue is that (as for my game and many other with this theme) it ends up being mostly trying different paths than thinking and figuring out the way. Still it's very nice to play, great job !
I think because of the loops you find yourself in, the clear undesirable state of being in 4 that you want to avoid, and the level design its very clear when you run into a dead end, so it can be satisfying to try out your different options because you get pretty obvious feedback that you're pursing the wrong course of actions. And then the ice later on that lets you break the rule of 4 being undesirable is a good way of shaking things up and providing a new challenge. I also like the general aesthetic of the game. I would have liked to have something that gives me a better sense of what number is on each side, and because the angle of the camera at a glance vertical tiles seem longer than horizontal tiles, but I can get the sense you didn't want to deal with confusion that comes with the controls interacting with a free camera.
yeah, i thought about the camera problem quite alot when i was making the game, having a stable camera showing the whole level would have felt alot less lively and responsive, and having a free camera meant id have to change movement based on the location you're looking, and getting that wrong specially in a puzzle would be really infuriating, so i stuck to my main idea of having the camera follow you. though I did see a very clever way to approach this in some of the jam's games which was to overlay a 3d die that follows your die's rotation and that you can pan around to see the number on each side. thanks for the feedback! very insightful
We had similar ideas for our games!! I like your approach! Really interesting!
Very chill, I was expecting another match the face of the dice to complete the level, but thankfully it was not that. I think the ice mechanic could be introduced a bit earlier. Overall, very enjoyable! :D
Really nice idea, interesting interpretation of the theme, it works really well and the levels are nicely designed. I wonder if it would be clearer to have an automatic restart when you roll a 4 or even disable moves that result in a 4, although you do get the point quite swiftly. Great entry!
some of the later levels with ice require that you get a four actually, so yeah it does get resolved but it takes a few levels first
Great game, and an interesting take on the "rolling mechanic" where the number controls your distance! The puzzles are well designed, and it's a nice realisation that there's a deterministic path through the level. I like how landing on 4 becomes a endless loop :) Great stuff!
This game and its simple visuals were really nice and the gameplay was really fun. Overall great entry:))
There are bunch of games about matching faces to ground number etc. I thought this game one of them. I was wrong this one is much more fun then those games. Puzzles are challenging and fun to solve. I had very good time while playing. Well done ^^
Very nice game, i think it would be nice to see where the dice is going to arrive before hitting the key, like a pattern on the ground. Very well designed puzzle and level design !
The calming sound effects where a really nice touch, it is a very calming game i'd love to see as a mobile game sometime. good game!

This was super fun! I liked the simple art and the sound effects really fit the game as well.
I spent several minutes failing again and again and then I realized that the distance of movements depends on the roll and the game turned into surprisingly interesting puzzle!
I love it and hope I would be happy to play in a full version somewhere on IOS :D
This is a very unique idea, which is great. It's hard to think critically about where you're going, since the dice rolls over several times, so you don't know what you'll land on at the end. Otherwise, this is an excellent block-rolling puzzle game
* lands a 4, commits suicide * .... First game I actually finished! I enjoyed it a lot! I did have to solve one of the stages just via trial-and-error rather than thinking. But as soon as I got to the ice levels, everything just clicked and it felt great! Good job!
This game has sooo much more depth than I first expected it to have. The way the 4s just keep on coming or how you can endlessly do 2 -> 3 -> 5 keep things really interesting and you start to notice patterns. The levels seem simple but there’s a lot more behind them once you get to know them. One complaint I have is, that it’s annoying that you can not see all parts of the dice. Maybe have an indicator somewhere that gives you more information. It’s not hard to figure out but it still slows the game down for me.
Still, great game! Well done!
Very clever take on the theme! I liked the idea of the move precision and planning.
This makes a solid puzzle game! Little improvements like rerouting tiles or lever activation could be a great add for an official release! Congrats!
PS: DONT GET A 4 :D
I absolutely suck at it haha, but what a clever idea! Really fun concept, with nice presentation :)
A bit different from all the different puzzle games I've seen in this jam! I'm really not that good with this kind of games, but the music kept me invested. I wish there was a feedback when rolling! Maybe you could add special cells in later levels. Some that turn your dice or spin yourself! Good job!
