Loved the art style!
Really cool idea and I like the art style. I encountered a bug where I couldn't end my turn. I think maybe when I accidently told a unit to move to the same square it was already on.
This was a very creative idea, I like the mix of world building and turn based strategy and the presentation was excellent
Thanks a lot for playing !
the core mechanic of building the world with the dice is nothing less than genius!
in addition to it, you managed to add turn-based army combat X_X this entry is top teir
Well done and the best of luck
Thanks for the kind words!
A very creative game, reminds me of the classic Heroes of Might and Magic. At it's current state, it is already tons of fun and feels polished. The Tetris aspect of the map building also gives it more depth and strategy. If the devs plans to update this, I can see my self playing this again and again :D
Thanks a lot for playing & for the nice comments!
What a fun idea. I usually try to give nice feedback, but I'll be more honest because I like the idea.
I'm sure you would but you ran out of time, but i think audio would be a huge help also I'm not super sure what all my structures do and how to engage my foes. Additionally, i think making it all one level so everything is visible might be a good idea or at least for the first few levels if you planned on having a lot of levels. Easy small bite-sized tutorial levels to get introduced to mechanics would be good. especially for how long this level takes
I really like the art and placing tiles felt so snappy! :) rolling and getting new pieces also made me feel good. I liked this game a lot, fun idea and I'm really glad it was one of the few I got to see. you should be proud!
Thanks !
I definitely agree with you ! The game sorely lacks background music and tutorial levels (and a control guide).
It's just a shame we didn't have the time to add any of it.
As for what the structures do... Tbh, they do nothing at this point... We only had time to implement the summoning tiles : 1, 2 & 3.
The four-tress (see what I did there ;) ) was supposed to block ennemy movement, and the 6-temple was supposed to heal/ressurect units.
It just was too ambitious a scope for such a short jam.
you did more than I could've for 48 hours. Most impressive good start
Cute game with impressive visuals! I think all the relevant feedback has already been mentioned! Great work for 48 hours
Thanks a lot for playing !
The feedback has been heard !!!
We wish we had more time to make the music, make the ennemy turn faster, fully integrate the animations and add the tutorial/guide.
I enjoyed this! At first I thought I would nitpick how much time it takes, but I kept playing for quite a while so I guess I'm full of it.
Its definitely a unique concept, and I like that rolling a 1 isn't as bad as it could be cuz you get a wizard that slaps.
Yup ! We wanted to balance the dices !
I'm glad you enjoyed it !
Hey ! Thanks for playing !
I try to play the games of everyone that comments. But I only have so much free time to do so ! I'll try my best ;)
I'll try it out but not having a web build makes most people pretty hesitant.
Really fun game! I'm surprised you were able to make this in the 48 hours. Great work!
Thanks for playing !
We wanted to do so much more ! More UI, tutorials, music and more.
Still satisfied with what we turned in.
Great game! I enjoy this game, Impressive game in such a short time. Great job!
Feel free to check my game if you want to challange your brain muscle!
Thanks !
We wanted to do so much more. We didn't even have time to add a music or the end screen...
But that's a game jam for you !
I will check out your game. It's my policy to try and play games from people that comment in here.
As long as they are playable in browser... And as long as they are not WASD only...
Great strategy!
Thanks a bunch for playing !
Amazing presentation and creativity, but really slow.
Thanks for playing and for the honest feedback!
Yeah, definitely would be better to speed up enemy turns - couldn't make it in 48 hours :D
Superbly built game ! Had a good time playing this one , the UI , gameplay and artwork is so well polished and built ! I loved the tutorial as well , really intuitive and helpful !! Good stuff all in all :D !!
Thank you !
When you say tutorial, do you mean the screenshots in the itch page ? Or the short guide in the Play screen ?
We wanted to add an actual tutorial but didn't have the time...
I mean the screenshots, I considered them as a tutorial for the game ^^. I think adding a tutorial In the game itself 'could' have been better but with the time restraint the screenshots did a perfect job, for me I read the desc, and the screenshots explained everything pretty well.
The pixel art is fantastic and the concept is really cool! Seriously great work!
Thanks for playing !
Cool game. Does the terrain have any effect?
Thank you !
We had plans for buildings to have effects (fortress blocks ennemies, temple heals units, etc.). We also wanted forrest to slow movement down.
As of now, mountain and water block movement.
Good game but gets repetitive after a while
Thanks for playing
I was enjoying this up until the movement broke on me and my whole game got bugged. Somehow my cursor was no longer aligned with the grid and it made it impossible to select anything.
Liked the vibe though. The art style is really cute as well.
Seems like lot of people have this bug while playing on itch. We didn't not have this issue while testing.
Thanks for playing. As the artist of the game, I really appreciate your comment.
I like the concept and had fun, but I found the game to be a bit too slow.
It is very noticeable in the start when there is barely any territory, units move nowhere and animations take too long.
Still, good job on your game!
Thank you !
There is plenty of room for improvement indeed.
Incredible, good work.
Thank you for playing !!!
