Really polished game and sticks closely to the theme, both visually and mechanically! Enemies are varied enough and pair well with the randomness of the dice rolIs. I'm addicted to bullet hell games so this is a big thumbs up from me.
Really glad you enjoyed playing!
Hey this is an awesome little game you got here! First off the lighting was amazing and really drew me into the atmosphere. The enemy design of the dice was really well done too and I liked the touches like the number shown on the die was how many shots would be shooting at a time. The whole package was cool and I could see this becoming in even bigger game if that's what you all wanted to do!
Probably just me or the web version, but when I tried playing through the browser the WASD keys weren't working, I could only aim and shoot with the mouse. Makes it very hard to play! I went ahead and downloaded the desktop version though and that works normally. Good suggestion of yours to download for general gameplay improvements.
Anyways excellent work on this!! One of my favorite games to play this jam so far!
Thank you so much!
Yeah, the WASD works on our end for web version, but there seems to be quite a few more bugs - we just wanted to make it easier for people to play xD
Holy Juice! I'm a sucker for good lighting, and this is some of the best i've seen this jam. The art was cute and effective. A great game overall!
Thank you so much! The art is all thanks to Polarcube, he worked all on front end and making sure things looked as great as they do while I made sure things function the way they do. Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you!!! :D
I am impressed with the visuals and the sound effects. I thought it was amazing I could play the game without downloading anything. I like the sound and the bullets used to shoot the dice. I hope you had fun making it! Good luck!
Happy you liked it! It's playable without downloading anything, but the experience is better in the downloaded version. (Better performance, and you can access the online leaderboard xD)
As Polarcube said it is better in the downloaded version, and we'd highly recommend if you'd want to continue playing to download that instead of using the web version. Thank you for your kind words and we wish you luck as well
Cool game, visuals are super polished, I especially like the lighting. Different enemy types was nice too!
thank you so much, appreciate your support
Glad you enjoyed it! :D
Really cool and sleek aesthetic, smooth gameplay, and a neat twist on bullet hell, great work!
Thank you! :D
Thank you so much!
This gets the certified "Yes." award.
Glad you liked it! :D
Nice aesthetic! I'm not sure if I was missing some more rich mechanics, but I was able to get pretty good results just going as far away from the enemies as possible and holding down the shoot button haha
Glad you liked the aesthetic :) Thanks for the feedback
Not too into bullet hell games, so I didn't play for long, but this was fun and has fantastic aesthetics!
Glad you liked the aesthetic :D
This game looked great, and played great. I really love the enemy animations in particular, and the lighting made it fit so well into the environment. While the enemies looked so good, the player and how they feel to move and shoot could have been tightened a bit more to bring i to another level. I feel like controller support would have been great as well (It seemed to work for moving but not for aiming). Great job!
Thanks for the feedback! Any suggestions on how we can make the player movement and shooting tighter? Shooting is instantaneous unless you waiting for the cooldown (that is one aspect we can tighten up). Any other areas you can think of?
Yes! Controller support would be great, we cut it out due to time constraints, but it's a great suggestion nonetheless. Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, I would say that the accelerations on the character were maybe too slow, as it felt a little like my character was sliding on ice. Mix that with the digital input of using WASD, and it felt a bit off. It could just be a preference thing.
The Bullet effects were good, but the shooting itself felt a little flat to me, like it wasn't being fired from me but rather just appearing in front of my character. Comparing that to the juicy way that the later dice hit the ground to create shockwaves it leaves me a little wanting. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the game!
Excellent presentation for both visuals and handling, felt very fun to play! I think a bit further bullet range and a larger map area would have been neat. The dice enemies feel more like a re-skin of standard bullet hell enemies and do not feel particularly thematic for this jam.
Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it! Do you have any suggestions for how we could have made the enemies more thematic in their behavior? Would love to hear your thoughts! :D
I had an idea of the dice enemy rolling randomly (either in place or as it moves), then stopping on a particular face, which telegraphs the next attack (perhaps the number of dots = the number of bolts, and is inversely proportional to damage) and lets the player anticipate their behavior. This might need the enemies to be less frequent but have more health, more similar to bosses, but starting slow and letting the player learn the enemy behavior means a lot more strategy in later stages!
Sounds good :D We did something similar for the D6, we'll keep it in mind in the future as we are planning to keep developing this game. Thanks for the input :)
Finally i can revenge all my borthers and sisters fallen by bad rolls! I love the bloom effect as well as all pixel art sprites and animations. Especially animations, they look so smooth. The different enemy variations allow to have a varied movement. Unfortunately, it still lacked variety for the player. For example upgrades for bullets or something like that. But i think this is still a very good submission. Great job though!
Thank you so much! I do agree with the fact there's a lack of player variety, potentially in future variations that could get fixed :)
Thank you so much for the feedback - it was in our original map out, but got cut out due to time constraints :D
Great game. Bloom makes everything look better
Thank you, thank you :)
Good job guys
Thanks! :D
This is a hard ass bullet hell. At times it feels a little floaty, at times it feels like I need more space to work with. The biggest selling point is how damn good this game looks and feels! Well done!
Thank you so much xD
You had me in the first half lol, it was intended to be on the more difficult side and we grew to like it more and more that way the more we progressed within development
This game is excellent although I wish there was a way to regain health
if there is I didn't find it lol but good job

Yep! There is, health pick ups start spawning after 45s of gameplay :)
This game feels really nice to play! I love the animations and the lighting
Thank you!
Thanks for the kind words :D
Feels really nice! Great job with the effects
Thank you so much!
