on mac I get a message saying the file is damaged and should be moved to the trash (this is the post-jam version)

Clean UX and UI, simple and addictive puzzles, I enjoyed my experience in your dicey world 😊 I wish there was an ending screen or something, maybe just telling you how much time you spent in the game or the number of moves in each level.
Congratulations!
Well, I think that "diabolical hard" is a bit of an overstatement here. ^^ I enjoyed playing this. Clean, minimal look. Fitting sound effects. Really well-done tutorials and every feature I could wish for in a puzzle game: a button to show the occluded sides of the dice, undo and restart. If anything I would've wished that one spawns in front of the level one just finished/quit. But all in all really nice job!
Greetings from another Godot enthusiast!
Any reason why you didn't provide a HTML5 version of the game btw?
Thanks! On hindsight I did overestimate the difficulty of the game, I put that there mainly to mentally prepare people to play longer than expected since jam games are supposed to be short.
As for why I didn't upload a WebGL build, it was because when I uploaded it initially, I had set the stretch mode to disabled, as the Godot "Multiple resolutions" page said to do for 3D games, but I found that the smaller WebGL viewport cropped away the right and bottom sides of the game, such that you couldn't see the minimap. Being so close to the deadline, I decided to just not upload the WebGL version. I didn't realise at the time that the solution was a simple fix of changing the stretch mode to 2D or viewport. That was also why playing on smaller resolution PCs, such as 1366 x 768, caused the minimap to be hidden, as was what happened for one of the commenters below.
This game is so beautiful! Small, clever, has a perfect tutorial for onboarding, has a great UX since you can see the other faces, so it is never confusing. Chapeau! The only complaint I have is that the difficulty of the levels was not as high as I excepted from the description!
Thanks! Yeah I overestimated the difficulty of the puzzles, I put that statement in because my impression is that jam games are supposed to be played for about 5-10 mins, but I simply didn't see how people could complete the game in that short amount of time, so I added a disclaimer to mentally prepare them to spend more time.
I love the 'paint the side that's down' concept, and the paper as an introduction/tutorial was such a cool idea!
Nicely done! I watched Mark play this on stream and had to try it out for myself. I really liked your small puzzle design. Each one felt attainable without being too easy as to be boring.
The 'tutorial' paper at the start was a really nice touch. Those sorts of intuitive teaching moments are great when you can incorporate them. I understand why you went isometric (you can see more sides of the die, right?), but using wasd for that felt pretty awkward. I had a lot of problems even navigating these small puzzles. Maybe including a wasd key in the corner of the screen could help alleviate that?
Thanks for making this cool little game. Keep making games!
Loved the game, movement felt amazing and it was very satisfying to land the correct way around!
Came from Mark's stream! Nice puzzle game. Very simple but effective mechanic, and including the paper to teach it at the beginning was a nice touch!
definitely a winner great job implementing the rolling with the numbers
great submission good luck
p.s. make it into a fully fleshed out game
Yayyy I beated all the levels! :) I hope you make more levels in the future. This game has a great learning curve. Congrats on your submission escapadegames!
Very cool game, has the same concept as a lot of others (including mine), but with a different twist that sets it apart.
Cool main mechanic and engaging puzzle game
This really needs more levels!
I love it 10/10 would like more levels
A simple but awesome idea, that unlike other similar game in the jam doesn't get too complicated, your level design really gives the player the time to properly learn how to efficiently roll the die. And I love simplistic artstyles like that, it fits that kind of game well. Truly great work !
