How does your game fit the theme?
In Caper, you roll dice in order to try and match or exceed the strength of a vault. You can also use dice to perform actions like scheming or recruiting in order to increase your chances of successfully robbing the vault.

Although I took some time to understand it I eventually robbed the vault. Really liked the resource management aspect because it always had me on edge about what to spend my dice on.
I found some bugs, when re rolling a dice it almost never falls to the side its supposed to be but freezes mid animation, when accumulating so many negatives that all dice should be 1 one dice showed a 6 (although when deactivating the negatives it worked properly going to two) and that clicking on new game after finishing one run doesn't seem to reset your pool of non recruited companions nor scheme cards.
This is a GREAT game! I love this kind of games. The sound, graphics and gameplay are very very good. Though sometimes there is not enough space on the table, but it's not a big problem, because you can arrange things how you want. 5/5
This is a really great concept! Even though not everything is obviously explained, I was able to grasp the jist of it pretty quickly. The way you need to choose carefully between strenghening your future turns and scheming is really good, especially because scheming can have negative outcomes that you need to play around.
The whole concept felt really on brand with “preparing for a heist”. I honestly think that (with some significant changes) this core gameplay-loop could be an actual full-blown production game, or at least a core part of it. Great idea, well executed. Good job!
I thing some rules are not said nor indicated or I missed something but overall the game is pretty cool. The music is very chill and fits well the game, the art is cool and the gameplay too. Well done o/
I had a good time with your game! The scheme cards didn't seem worth it (maybe I got unlucky) but recruiting the squad was fun.
I had a bug with pressing new game after the previous one had ended where none of the game elements (cards, buttons, etc.) loaded in.
Had a fun time with this game - really interesting take on it and plenty of fun mechanics to play around with :) Sounds like almost all of the other feedback I was going to give has been given by other commenters! Well done :)
This game looks really good. At first I was not sure what to do but after I got it I think this is a nice concept. When you press Attempt Caper I think the border of the vault can be marked with another colour to let the player know that there can be an interaction. Nice animations and great presentation. Good Job!
Thanks for playing! That's a great suggestion, thanks.
I made a mess of the cards...
The chance to draw negative cards along with the schemes was interesting, although it wasn't really clear when I needed to deactivate them .
Also, I got the vault strength to a negative number before trying the cipher, which felt like it maybe should have ended the game automatically.
In any case, awesome game and great take on the theme!
Thanks for playing, carolynneon! Haha, that's interesting! Sounds like you hit a balancing issue we didn't solve for there.
Overall a really creative game and pretty dang fun too. It could use a little balancing, especially with the amount of die you can get, and the randomness of the scheming. The premise is great too.
Thanks Justin! Yeah, the balance is definitely off. But glad you still enjoyed it!
This game was a really concentrated and focused experience, and I hope more people check it out! The art style is lovely, and immediately got my attention.
Thanks Jesscapade! That's very kind of you!
Fun little caper! I liked the different characters and felt like we were building a spiffy squad. Would have liked more nuance to the vault part and/or more of a payoff, but it was still great!
Thanks Francois! Agree on there needing to be more of a payoff. We'd like to reward the player for finishing in fewer rounds, so a loot multiplier depending on how many turns were left when you succeeded. And maybe introduce pre- and post-caper upgrades that can be bought with your winnings.
Let's see if we find time for the elusive 'finish up a jam game after the jam'.
There's a lot of charm in the game already, so it would be cool to see a bit more polish, but TBH I think it's already great :)
It's a super fun game with great visuals, once you iron out the performance issues I can see this becoming a very fun game :3
Thanks gluftur!
I love the Dicey Dungeons feel this game has. With more in depth mechanics and strategies, this project could be expanded nicely!
Thanks Joey G!
Very enjoyable game, I may have encountered a bug where I was no longer able to get new recruits, and there are some z fighting issues but apart form that good job!
Thanks for playing! There is a slot called 'new recruits' under the 'recruit' section. You can drag a dice in there to get a new batch of recruits.
We can certainly do better to communicate that to the player!
I really like the idea of a variable purchase system. If I were to continue this project I would add more things to bye with rolls. Great work!
Thanks Good Bird!
The game's aesthetic is so pleasing! I was a bit confused at first, and after a while I still don't know what the winning condition is (I exhausted the turns then nothing happened). But the gameplay itself was quite enjoyable as it was.
Thanks for playing! It sounds like you hit a bug. When your turns run out, you're supposed to lose and be able to start again.
Glad you enjoyed it despite the issue.
Gorgeous art and engaging gameplay, congratz!

So good it made me forget I was playing for a jam rating!
That's very nice to hear. Thanks Jordyn.
