Some of your production values/talents are through the roof! Having talents so crazy crazy high in some areas (atmosphere, visuals, story) does emphasize areas where things may be missing or incomplete. As a player I can understand a certain level of disappointment. But this is a jam. We are all developers here and can give merit on what is there and understand the nature of a jam. So... How does it rate? Very very highly. Well done! Excellent stuff
Thanks for that encouraging feedback! It means a lot to get it from gam devs who understand. There are so many parts of building a good game even if you have loads of time. A Jam is somewhat unforgiving if you have no clue how long coding something or creating assets might take. Even with a powerful game engine like Godot. Tons of lessons in making the game for this. Definitely going to rework this game and re-release it.
Well done, great job!
not enough time to finish this I guess?
The vision was a bit too ambitious. It's the first time ever entering a Jam.
This was great! A wonderful game by anyone's standards and even more impressive that you are such a young developer creative awesome work like this! I loved the artwork and the concept of the gam! I thought that the enhancements to the character made for a neat and dynamic and varied gameplay experience! Awesome work!
Thanks for encouragement. It means a lot to get feedback from other game devs.
I don't really like the choice of font. The gameplay isn't that much fun and I don't understand why is there spose to be a weapon while there's no enemy or anything to shoot.
But, its not too bad for the first game. The art looks nice. Good job.
We ran out of time and wanted to post in order to be a part of the Jam. Lots of things to fix as we continue to build out the game. Thanks for taking the time to try the game and giving your feedback.
I really like the art style.
Thanks! We can't wait to build this game out further. Stay tuned!
artistically speaking looks good, the animations are detailed and with good references and key animations.
Gameplay wise i didn't feel the difference between upgrades that much, and the transitions did not help there.
there is a strong concept here that needs some polish
Yes to all of that! We ran out of time for testing and last minute breaking of levels had us panicked near the end. We have lots of tweeks and upgrades coming. Hope you'll check this out once we start fixing things. Thanks for the feedback!
Good game! A simple, fun premise. Could benefit from a little bit of polish, some transitions were disorienting. I like how you interpreted the theme :)
Thanks for the feedback! Polish is coming, but after a lot of reworking. There is so much more to this game that didn't make this round. Stay tuned and hopefully you can give us feedback as we update.
That's great to hear!
It was a bit on the short side but I really liked it. Keep up the good work :)
Thanks for the feedback and encouragement. We have big plans for this game and increase the length and challenges. Please stay tuned!
Like the music and the visuals and the way the character flips and evolves. but ofc same problem like the other with the background but still liked the game
Thanks for the feedback. Glad that you liked it.
Ooh, looks and sounds really good!
Can be sometimes a bit hard to see what's going on due to the parallax in front, but all in all, it's a fun game!
Thanks for the feedback. We were trying to balance out speed with optics, but ran out of time in this Jam. It is definitely something we'll fix.
Good art and visul effects but the levels are the same and the music doesn't fit but good work
Thanks for the feedback. Still learning a lot about Godot and we had some issues with the levels. Something kept breaking so we opted to just keep it simple so that we could make the deadline.
Agree with what others said about parallax, but otherwise a nice game. I liked how the music synched up to the gameplay.
Thanks. We had some issues with the looping, but hope to fix that and a lot of other things as we build out the game.
i like the theme, art and atmosphere, the music also fits very well. if you develop it further, you should add some impact to the actions. :-)
Definitely will add more effects. Thanks for the suggestion.
love the music and art, the parallax scrolling layer in front scrolls a little bit too fast for my taste though.
I think it would be better if the gameplay evolved with the character changing. i noticed you have a gun, but it doesn't have anything to shoot at, and the jetpack doesn't seem to work?
Yes to all of that...ran into a timing issue trying to get everything to work and not enough time allotted for testing. But all the feedback is great as we plan to fix, tweek and update this game. Really appreciate you taking the time to let us know.
The art for everything is great! Though the frequency of the parallax layer closest to the screen was rather disruptive, so may be worth looking into reducing that.
I'd be excited to see how this evolves (no pun intended)!
Thanks for the feedback. Lots of plans for updating once this Jam is over. Will definitely look into making the middle ground move faster so that the foreground doesn't get too distracting.
Fun game. I really liked the animations
Very slick gameplay and an impressive first game. You will make something big some day very soon. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for the encouragement.
Hi nice first game. I am also new game dev, but I'm not near 10. I am 4 times more. I liked your game. The sound got lost on second or third level. Keep it up.
Thanks! Will definitely fix that once the Jam is over. Appreciate the feedback.
I like the art!
