Amazing simple mouse game :) I love the sound of chickens for mice :D
It left me wanting more... In a really good way :) Love the rats and their personalities. I'm not sure I'll ever get bored of watching them float up the screen :) If you introduced a few new mechanics, this would be on its way to bein a commercial game :) well done!
Fun clicker game... and very addictive :p
How many rats does it take to change a lightbulb ?
well you need 2 rats to make a farmer rat 2 farmer rats to make a miner rat...
Ok silly joke aside, i really dig the little rat sprites with the various hats, so fun to see the results fusions get you, especially when you discover that you can have multiple pairs up at any time to make mass evolutions XD
I was really curious to see all the evolutions.
Simple but very fun entry, good job :)
Merging rats into different rats was fun and seeing what new rat will evolve loved the idea too defo see this going somewhere like the rats could be used for something to give another reason for wanting that Epic rat
Adorable!! Makes me want a pet rat NOW!!!!
That aside, the game looks great and it's fun to see the rats evolve. Just wish I could progress through it faster
Nice game, and reminded me of idle clicker games. Exponential growth of milestones were a bit on the tough side. Using a tech tree or/and power ups, and even having your miner rats work on progression could make this a really promissing game.
These rats needs a game to go with them! They're so cute.
I never managed to get to the "Pope Rat", because the exponential scaling was a bit much to take. This is a type of scaling that almost never works, in any game, except if you really delve into it and explore different sense of scales (Universal Paperclip, Cookieclicker) or use it as the sole mechanic (2048).
Without any deviation to that "doubling", you leave no room for player expectation. If the player knows that the next 2 minutes is going to be exactly like the last 2 minutes, just with even more clicks, it's hard to keep them motivated. They need something to optimize or some agency in the direction the game takes, instead of feeling like they're only making the frames go by.
Examples of what you could have done to achieve this is variation to the "tech tree" of rats, like having to combine varying number of certain kinds of rat. Think "Little Alchemist", simple and addictive to find combinations.
Since you also had the ability to pick up and relocate rats, a Lemmings style mechanic would be right at home. You could have the rats walk around and getting into places they shouldn't, like in the combinator when you're trying to combine two other rats, so you need to drag them away. A hamster wheel with limited space to place them in, for example. The player would have to need to balance how many rats / how productive / how fast they want to progress against how many rats they can keep track of.
Rats! How was I so captured by this game, it's a great little piece
Left click -> Right click -> Repeat. Still captured my mind for a couple of minutes. I like your art style a lot!
A really neat concept. the Pixel Art Rats look really good with all their Costumes! It would have been cool that they could do different small gestures depending of its class, but overall a nice experience
I really like that you added small touches like the rats can go below the button stand and so on, makes it much nicer. Only problem is the extreme number of rats needed after a while. Very nice game.
Very cute little game. I like the idea a lot and i think it has great potential to be something really special. Maybe a mobile game where the rats go out and farm after you make them? Super nice art and gameplay. Well done!
Amazing art,I Think its a very cozy and chill game, very interesting concept I was a little confused at what to do at the beginning because the tutorial blended in (my opinion), Over all great game and I really enjoyed, I think you should develop it further!
Cool game, the rat noises got a bit annoying because I spammed the spawn button, ooops.
